Children International is preparing its disaster-response teams for readiness as Typhoon Haiyan approaches the Philippines. Set to hit land within the next 24 - 36 hours, Haiyan has been declared a "super typhoon," meaning this category 5 storm's winds should exceed 155 mph.

Children International is deeply concerned about the potential impact on people at risk in the area, especially those living on remote islands or in flood-prone areas.
