Last week, FSG and *Stanford Social Innovation Review* hosted [Next Generation Evaluation: Embracing Complexity, Connectivity, and Change](http://www.ssireview.org/NextGenEvaluation) at Stanford University. The sell-out crowd of evaluation enthusiasts from 27 states and 3 countries included nonprofit leaders, grantmakers, evaluators, and academics who came together to discuss the evolution of evaluation and learning in the social sector. Presentations about development evaluation, shared measurement, and big data sparked conversations in the room and on social media.
