Watch 3BL Media updates from GRI in Amsterdam on Facebook Live at 10 a.m. ET, May 18-20

What a difference two years makes.

It’s been 24 months since corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability executives gathered in Amsterdam to discuss how their companies are tackling environmental and social challenges, and how best to report their progress.

As delegates of the fifth GRI Global Conference assemble in Amsterdam for a three-day summit beginning Wednesday, skeptics will be few and far between in the wake of two landmark agreements.

In Paris, leaders from 195 nations signed a universal, legally binding climate change pact that limits global warming to below 2°C.

And in New York, adoption of 17 sustainable development goals by the United National provided a roadmap of how civil society, governments, the private sector and academia can team up to end poverty.

I am in Amsterdam this week and will provide a daily video update via Facebook Live at 10 a.m. ET Wednesday through Friday. You can access the stream here.

Before you watch, keep in mind these are not polished, network news-style reports.  In my first go at Facebook Live, I spotted a BMW and Audi plugged in at a street charging station.  During the Facebook Live feed, the Audi owner unplugged and drove away – but not before an awkward interaction.

More than 1,100 CSR and sustainability professionals from across the years are in Amsterdam for the GRI Global Conference this week. We invite you to stay up to date without leaving your desk by visiting the 3BL Media Facebook page to view the live feed or archived reports.

To receive notifications when live streaming has begun, click Follow on archived videos.  Be sure to send us comments and we’ll mention you on-air, Romper Room style.
