Schlumberger Foundation Celebrates Its 1,000th Faculty for the Future Grant

The Schlumberger Foundation today announced that its flagship Faculty for the Future program has now funded 1,000 fellows worldwide, following the release of its 2026–2027 grant award recipients.

This year, the program awarded 163 grants to outstanding women from low‑ and middle-income countries pursuing PhD and postdoctoral research in science, engineering, technology, and mathematics (STEM). The cohort includes 54 new fellows and 109 renewal grantees, further strengthening a diverse global community of researchers, educators, innovators, and leaders applying scientific knowledge to critical challenges in their home countries.

Since its launch in 2004, the Faculty for the Future program has played a transformative role in strengthening STEM teaching, research, and scientific capacity in countries where these contributions are most needed. Findings from our recent fellowship survey showed 83% of fellows working in academia, making significant contributions through research, teaching, and student supervision. The survey results indicate that Faculty for the Future fellows teach more than 185,000 students and supervise nearly 900 graduate students, alongside their research activities.

Their work translates into tangible institutional and societal benefits. For example, In Mozambique, neurologists Dr. Deise Catamo and Dr. Helena Buque, are spearheading a quiet revolution in neurological research and care in Mozambique. Similarly, Dr. Shakardokht Jafari, founder of TRUEinvivo®, has transformed her research into a life‑saving technology that delivers high‑precision dosimetry solutions for radiotherapy.

Faculty for the Future fellows also play a critical role in shaping public policy. Nearly 59% of surveyed fellows report active engagement in policymaking, contributing to national and regional agendas. For example, Dr. Happy Magoha serves as Chairperson of the Technical Committee of Food Scientists of Tanzania, while Dr. Gayatri Indah is a technical expert on earthquakes on Indonesia’s National Hazard Map Committee. Similarly, Mekdelawit Deribe and Rania Al‑Zou’bi have grounded their PhD research in physical modelling to support more equitable and sustainable management of critical river systems in their respective regions.

Additionally, 20% of survey fellows identified as entrepreneurs, launching new ventures that drive innovation, economic growth, and social impact. One notable example is Dr. Sadiyo Siad, founder of Hano Academy, Hano Technical University, the Somali STEM Society, and Hano Connect. Through these initiatives, Dr. Sadiyo has played a transformative role in advancing STEM education as well as technical and vocational education and training across Somalia.

“The creation of the Faculty for the Future program twenty years ago was a visionary response to both the need for scientific expertise in under resourced regions and the persistent gender gap in STEM,” said Capella Festa, President of the Schlumberger Foundation. “By empowering women researchers to bring distinct perspectives to education, innovation, and leadership, the program demonstrates how diversity strengthens research and drives meaningful, lasting impact.”

The Schlumberger Foundation remains committed to expanding the reach and impact of the Faculty for the Future program, grounded in its belief that advancing women in science is essential to achieving equitable and sustainable development worldwide.

About the Schlumberger Foundation

The Schlumberger Foundation is an independent non-profit organization founded by SLB in 1954. Its mission is to advance knowledge and promote excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. The Faculty for the Future program was established to maximize the Foundation’s impact by supporting women engineers and scientists from low- and middle-income countries.
New Research From CECP Reveals Corporate Purpose Integration as a Key Driver of Business Value and Resilience

NEW YORK, April 21, 2026 /3BL/ - A new study released today by Chief Executives for Corporate Purpose© (CECP) demonstrates that companies with deeply integrated corporate purpose across their core business systems achieve significantly better business outcomes in comparison to those that treat purpose as a PR exercise. The 2026 edition of Corporate Purpose: Driving Business Value highlights that while 92% of S&P Global 1200 companies now have a purpose statement, the true competitive advantage lies in "Purpose-Driven Systems”, where purpose is hardwired into a company’s governance, incentives, and operations.

Despite recent shifts in the global business landscape, the research indicates that most organizations are not retreating from corporate purpose. According to a CECP Pulse Survey from March 2026 of 526 respondents, a majority are maintaining or accelerating their commitment: 28% have not changed their strategy, while 26% are leaning further into purpose-led programs.

The research identifies a material difference in performance across the "Purpose Integration Continuum", a framework for implementing purpose across the organization. Key findings include:

Organizational Scale: Companies further along the Integration Continuum are not small; they boast a median revenue nearly 2x higher than companies at the "Stated Purpose" stage, suggesting that business integration correlates with long-term scale and longevity.

Innovation & Creativity: Companies with a well-defined mission report a 30% increase in innovation rates, reflecting how clarity and alignment unlock creative execution.

Operational Resilience: Nearly all CEOs (99%) now view these efforts as central to long-term value creation and competitive advantage rather than optional or reputational exercises.

Workforce Stability: Highly integrated companies see significantly lower voluntary turnover (6.3%) compared to those that only state their purpose (8.1%).

"The presence of a purpose statement is no longer a differentiator, it is the baseline, with 92% of the S&P Global 1200 already on board," said Kate Stobbe, Director of Insights, CECP. "Our data shows that the most resilient and successful companies are those that move beyond aspiration to execution. By embedding purpose into durable systems like executive compensation and risk management, these organizations aren't just doing good; they are building a strategic infrastructure that drives measurable returns and protects companies’ long-term value through volatility."

The report contains several company case studies. In 2015, Walmart made a controversial decision to raise its starting wage to $9 an hour—a move that initially triggered a 10% drop in its share price and drew skepticism from investors. At the time, the company faced high employee turnover, mounting pressure from labor activists, and deteriorating customer experience. Then CEO Doug McMillon responded by listening to frontline workers and addressing core operational issues, including wages, scheduling stability, store leadership, training, and inventory management. While the decision carried short-term market costs, it helped catalyze Walmart’s sustained sales growth, online expansion, and a roughly 10% improvement in employee retention, contributing to long-term value creation, with U.S. sales growth every year since 2015 and global revenue reaching $681 billion.

For the methodology, CECP conducted a five-year longitudinal analysis of the S&P Global 1200 companies to distinguish between different stages of purpose adoption throughout the business. The research utilized a Purpose Integration Index based on 11 observable and externally verifiable management actions across five domains: governance, incentives, risk management, climate, and human rights. Companies were categorized into three stages—Stated Purpose, Operationalized Purpose, and Purpose-Driven Systems. Supplemental data includes a Pulse Survey of 526 respondents regarding strategy shifts and business case sentiment on purpose.

CECP Media Contact

Katie Leasor

kleasor@cecp.co

###

About Chief Executives for Corporate Purpose (CECP)

Chief Executives for Corporate Purpose® (CECP) is the only nonpartisan business counsel and network dedicated to driving measurable returns on purpose. We promote responsible purpose-driven business as it increases customer loyalty, builds employee engagement, improves brand trust, attracts top talent, connects with strategic investors, and contributes to the bottom line.

More than 200 of the world’s leading companies seek to improve their return on purpose through access to CECP's solutions in research and insights, strategy and benchmarking, and convening and communications.
Without Financial Incentives, Manufacturers and SMEs Face Decarbonization Risks Alone

Decarbonization is simply too expensive for APAC manufacturers, especially SMEs, to undertake alone.

Most decarbonization efforts today are still project-based.

Financial incentives present a real opportunity for decarbonization at scale.

The question comes up again and again: What should governments and industry stakeholders prioritize first for decarbonization?

As a fashion manufacturer based in Seoul, South Korea, I see how policy, financing, and implementation challenges come together in real time. In the APAC region, each country is taking a unique approach to a greener economy. These are encouraging signals, but manufacturers across the region are still facing major barriers to action.

As an Editorial Member of Cascale’s APAC Policy Member Expert Team, contributing specifically to the incentives agenda, I see a number of overlapping challenges. Fragmentation, limited interoperability, insufficient incentives, and underrepresentation of decent work issues – Cascale’s recent APAC Policy Priorities paper captures all of these issues.

Amid competing customer demands and faster turnaround times, there is little leeway for manufacturers to invest the time, energy, or resources to decarbonize their facilities. The reality is that decarbonization is simply too expensive for APAC manufacturers, especially SMEs, to tackle alone. For many SMEs, decarbonization is not a strategic choice but a financial constraint, where even well-intentioned efforts are limited by access to capital. That is exactly why incentives are critical.

Decarbonization is not a willingness issue. It is a financing issue.

Without a support mechanism such as loans or blended financing, companies cannot invest in renewable energy or low-carbon equipment.

This is one of the reasons why decarbonization incentives are a key priority in the APAC Policy Priorities Paper. The paper recognizes that many suppliers and SMEs face significant barriers due to high costs and limited access to finance, and calls for targeted support mechanisms, including subsidies, preferential financing, and investment in renewable energy and low-carbon technologies. The stated goal is to make the transition more practical, more scalable, and more inclusive across the supply chain.

Also, most decarbonization efforts today are still project-based. What we need is a system-based approach across the supply chain from now on. This is why we need to invest in expanding infrastructure, more coordinated support, and policy conditions that help solutions scale.

Incentives are also very critical. However, incentives without execution or without reliable data or without verified data are not enough on their own. We need a clear implementation framework to scale the incentives.

If I had to choose one action item for decarbonization, it would be linking financial incentives directly to the verified data. This could include preferential financing for facilities with verified emissions data, tax incentives tied to measurable reductions, or blended finance mechanisms that reduce upfront capital investment for renewable energy adoption. For example, factories with verified Scope 1 and 2 emissions data could access preferential financing rates or performance-based incentives tied to demonstrated reductions. This creates both accountability and motivation. Without such incentive mechanisms, scaling will be difficult.

If we want decarbonization to move faster across APAC, we need policies and financing approaches that reflect how manufacturers actually operate. That starts with making support accessible, practical, and tied to real progress.

Curious to learn more?
MilliporeSigma Launches First Bio-Based Solvent Portfolio for High-Performance Liquid Chromatography

Solvents made from renewable feedstocks help reduce reliance on fossil-fuel-based materials

Drop-in replacements preserve established chromatography performance

Supports progress toward sustainability targets by lowering product-related greenhouse gas emissions

BURLINGTON, Mass., April 21, 2026 /3BL/ - MilliporeSigma, the U.S. and Canada Life Science business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, a leading science and technology company, today announced the launch of the first bio-based solvent portfolio specifically for high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Manufactured using renewable feedstocks, these new patent-pending1 solvents deliver on average 25.9% lower CO2 equivalents2 compared with conventional fossil-fuel-based HPLC-grade solvents, while preserving the performance required for demanding analytical workflows.

“Our new bio-based HPLC solvents represent the next generation of high-performance liquid chromatography,” said Karen Madden, Chief Technology Officer, Life Science business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany. “Customers are looking for solutions that help reduce environmental impact without compromising performance quality. This innovative portfolio aims to deliver the precision, quality and reliability expected in HPLC and is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing methods.”

These bio-based solvents are compatible with established HPLC and liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) methods and instruments, supporting easy adoption in routine and regulated environments. In HPLC, solvents serve as the mobile phase that transports samples through the chromatographic system, enabling separation and quantification of components. This step is critical for generating reliable data in applications such as drug development, quality control in manufacturing, environmental monitoring and diagnostics.

MilliporeSigma developed this innovative portfolio using proprietary manufacturing processes and deep scientific expertise, reinforcing the company's commitment to advancing more sustainable, high-performance chromatography solutions. The new portfolio includes drop-in replacements for acetonitrile, methanol and ethanol. Because these newly launched bio-based solvents are designed to match conventional performance, laboratories can transition to these alternatives without redeveloping analytical methods, often a rigorous and lengthy process.

This launch further expands MilliporeSigma’s range of greener alternatives designed to help customers reduce environmental impact while preserving the precision and reliability laboratories expect. The new bio-based solvents reflect the company’s broader strategic focus on innovation that supports more sustainable science.

The bio-based HPLC solvents are available on sigmaaldrich.com/Bio-based-HPLC-Solvents.

1 Patent applications pending on bio-based methanol and acetonitrile.

2 Individual bio-based HPLC solvent CO2e values compared to fossil-fuel-based alternatives are as follows, based on supplier and industry emissions data through EcoInvent: Acetonitrile, BioRenewable, gradient grade for LC (Prod. No. 104771) has a 28% lower CO2e impact; Methanol, BioRenewable, gradient grade for LC (Prod. No. 106188) has a 29% lower CO2e impact; Methanol, BioRenewable, hypergrade for LC-MS (Prod. No. 106176) has a 29% lower CO2e impact; Ethanol, BioRenewable, hypergrade for LC-MS (Prod. No. 117480) has a 17.6% lower CO2e impact.

About the Life Science business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany

The Life Science business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, which operates as MilliporeSigma in the U.S. and Canada, has more than 27,000 employees and more than 55 total manufacturing and testing sites worldwide, with a portfolio of more than 300,000 products focused on scientific discovery, biomanufacturing and testing services.
The Traitors Fuels a Small Business Boom in the Scottish Highlands

New GoDaddy data shows a surge in microbusiness activity across the Scottish Highlands since season two of The Traitors aired in January 2024

The constituency of Caithness, Sutherland, and Easter Ross – home to Ardross Castle, where The Traitors is filmed – has seen an impressive uplift of 53% in its microbusiness density rate, the number of small businesses per 100 residents

Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey also grew its microbusiness density rate from 0.76 in 2024 to 1.34 in 2025, an increase of 76%

The new data comes from the GoDaddy Small Business Research Lab, which analyses over 600,000 British small businesses

The Traitors became a cultural phenomenon in season two, near doubling its viewing figures to 6.9 million on average, compared to 3.4 million in season one

The Traitors has sparked an entrepreneurial drive in the Scottish Highlands, as new GoDaddy data reveals a dramatic growth in small business activity since the show's second season aired in January 2024.

The new data comes from the GoDaddy Small Business Research Lab, an international research initiative that studies the economic impact of more than 600,000 small businesses in the UK, as well as the attitudes of their owners. Each constituency in the UK receives a microbusiness density count by mapping the concentration of microbusiness owners against local population sizes.

Jamie Stone, MP for Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross, praised the show for bringing millions of pounds and jobs to the Scottish Highlands, and GoDaddy data demonstrates the economic impact across the region.

Ardross Castle constituency sees 53% rise in Microbusiness Density

The Traitors is filmed at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, within the constituency of Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross. The constituency has increased its Microbusiness Density from 0.65 (before the first series aired) to 0.99 today, representing an impressive 53% uplift.

The uplift reflects how a cultural phenomenon parallels real-world opportunity for growth in new businesses across sectors such as tourism, hospitality, transport, and local goods and services among others.

GoDaddy data suggests a wider ripple effect across the Highlands

The Highland constituency of Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey has grown its microbusiness density by an impressive 76% since season two, whilst Ross, Skye and Lochaber experienced strong growth of 66%.

Highland growth has matched - and in some cases outpaced - key economic centres including Glasgow South West (+69%), Edinburgh South West (+73%), Leeds Central (+44%), and Bristol West (+61%).

According to further research from GoDaddy and Frontier Economics, the growth of digital microbusinesses delivers measurable benefits to the wider economy. A 10% increase in digital microbusiness density is linked to an average rise of £360 in median annual pay, 5.1 additional jobs per thousand residents, and over £26 million in additional GDP for a typical local authority of 200,000 people. This constituency-level growth reflects broader economic benefits associated with rising digital microbusiness activity

Alexandra Rosen, Economist and Head of the GoDaddy Small Business Research Lab, said:

“Major TV moments can act like an economic spark for the places they spotlight. While the business of filming provides a short-term boost to local economies, the real opportunity lies as viewers become inspired to visit and book experiences to get a taste of what they have seen on screen, or local residents become inspired to pursue passions and fulfil local and widespread demands. It is inspiring to see that a surge in attention is being paralleled by entrepreneurs across the Scottish Highlands, delivering benefits to their local economies.”

--- ENDS ---

Notes to the editors

Growth in Microbusiness Density since Season 2 of The Traitors aired

Highland constituency

Growth since January 2024

Argyll and Bute

+65%

Ross, Skye and Lochaber

+66%

Na h-Eileanan an Iar

+57%

Orkney and Shetland

+85%

Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross

+53%

Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey

+76%

Moray

+67%

PR contact

GoDaddy@MHPGroup.com

About GoDaddy
GoDaddy, the world's largest domain name registrar, helps millions of entrepreneurs globally start, grow, and scale their businesses. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business (Center), and Andre Calmon, the Center’s current faculty director. Together, they reflect on more than a decade of impact and explore what lies ahead for sustainable business education at Georgia Tech.

The conversation begins with a look back at the Center’s founding and the vision that shaped its early work. Toktay shares insights into building the Center from the ground up, the importance of embedding sustainability into core business education, and how the Center has helped position Scheller as a leader in applied, impact-driven sustainability.

She also reflects on milestones that have defined the Center’s first decade, including experiential student programming, which is at the heart of Scheller’s mission. Student opportunities – such as the Carbon Reduction Challenge, the Sustainability Fellows and Ambassadors program, and the Sustainable Business Consulting Practicum. These opportunities have connected students with real-world challenges, shaped career pathways, and strengthened industry partnerships. Toktay also highlights the Drawdown Georgia Business Compact as a powerful example of the Center’s convening role, bringing together companies across the state to accelerate practical climate solutions while strengthening Georgia Tech’s connection to the business community.

Calmon brings a unique perspective, having worked with the Center for nearly six years as affiliated faculty before stepping into the faculty director role. He reflects on the Center’s influence across campus and throughout Georgia’s business ecosystem, noting how its collaborative, applied approach has helped translate sustainability from theory into practice, while remaining deeply grounded in local impact.

The conversation then turns to the present and future. Toktay discusses her transition to executive director of the Brook Byers Institute for Sustainable Systems and the opportunities for continued collaboration across Georgia Tech’s sustainability ecosystem.

Delivery of the cable was generously sponsored by Maxi Haulage.

In-Comm Training supports learners and employers through technical training programs that build job-ready capability across electrical, engineering and manufacturing disciplines. Working with education providers and industry partners, In-Comm helps ensure training environments reflect the tools, materials and expectations students will encounter on job sites.

Wesco Anixter’s donation reflects its commitment to supporting local communities and developing the next generation of skilled electrical professionals. By supplying cable suited for workshop environments and training rigs, Wesco Anixter is helping In-Comm expand learning opportunities that prepare students for future employment.

“We’re proud to support In-Comm Training by donating cable that can be used to develop the next generation of electrical talent,” said Stuart Wyness, Director Sales U.K. Construction & Industrial at Wesco Anixter. “Providing access to real-world materials early in training is critical to helping apprentices build confidence, capability and readiness for on-site work.”

In addition to supporting education, the donation also reflects Wesco Anixter’s commitment to responsible resource management. Much of the cable provided to In-Comm Training would have been sent for recycling. This initiative helps extend the useful life of materials while helping reduce waste.

As demand for copper continues to grow, responsible stock management and reclamation practices play an important role. By redirecting usable cable into education, Wesco Anixter is maximizing material value while promoting recycling and circular economy principles.

“This donation will allow us to further support our learners’ development by giving them hands-on experience with a wider range of cable types and sizes than they would normally encounter at this stage,” said Simon Wood, Engineering Instructor at In-Comm Training. “Learners will have the opportunity to work with heavier cable reels and understand key handling techniques early in their apprenticeship, which is a vital step in becoming an electrician. Working with a local supplier is incredibly positive, and we are very grateful to Wesco Anixter U.K. for their support in helping us shape the future of the industry.”

About Wesco Anixter

Wesco International (NYSE: WCC) builds, connects, powers and protects the world. The solution provides a unified approach to generating, managing, and using Software Bill of Materials (SBOMs) for digital products, enabling organizations to meet regulatory obligations with greater accuracy, confidence, and consistency across the product lifecycle.

Cybersecurity regulations worldwide are converging on a common expectation: manufacturers must understand, manage, and disclose the components within their digital products, including software and firmware. Regulations such as the EU CRA, U.S. Executive Order 14028, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cybersecurity requirements for medical devices, and emerging frameworks in Asia are making SBOMs a foundational requirement for market access, regulatory approval, and customer trust worldwide.

Keysight SBOM Manager is designed to support this shift by addressing the practical challenges organizations face as SBOM requirements expand. The solution enables broader and more accurate visibility into digital products by analyzing binary software, firmware, containers, and other packaged components, including closed-source and deeply embedded dependencies. It continuously correlates SBOMs with multiple authoritative vulnerability sources, intelligently filters out vulnerabilities that are not applicable, and supports the use of Vulnerability Exploitability eXchange (VEX). This enables teams to focus on meaningful risk rather than being overwhelmed by raw vulnerability data.

In addition, Keysight SBOM Manager supports secure and scalable sharing of SBOMs and vulnerability information through controlled, role-based access and version tracking, helping organizations meet regulatory and customer transparency expectations. Built-in validation and normalization help ensure SBOMs align with evolving standards and regulatory minimum requirements, while support for SBOM consumers enables organizations to ingest, manage, and map SBOMs to deployed digital assets, connecting transparency directly to real operational environments.

Naoki Shimazaki, Fourth Design Department, Director, Software-Defined Solutions Division, Connective Engineering Division, Hitachi Industry & Control Solutions, Ltd., said: “The use of SBOMs is becoming an essential element in monitoring system security risks, including software composition management and supply chain risk management. We believe that solutions such as these, which enable visibility into system components and support vulnerability impact analysis, have significant potential to strengthen organizations’ cybersecurity efforts.”

Dmitry Raidman, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, CyBeats, said: “While companies innovate at the speed of AI, they must also put tighter governance and stronger controls in place, especially as modern products increasingly rely on open source, third-party components, and AI-assisted development. Supply chain transparency and accountability are now paramount. To meet growing global regulations, organizations need the ability to continuously generate trustworthy SBOMs, correlate them with actionable vulnerability intelligence, apply VEX to reduce noise, and automate response workflows at scale. As transparency expectations expand across software, AI, cryptography, and hardware, visibility into the full digital product stack is becoming essential for secure-by-design development, regulatory readiness, and customer trust.”

Ram Periakaruppan, Vice President and General Manager, Network Test & Security Solutions at Keysight, said: “As cybersecurity regulations mature, SBOMs are becoming a prerequisite for doing business globally. Keysight SBOM Manager helps organizations meet these requirements with confidence by bringing accuracy, consistency, and scalability to SBOM generation and management.”

The EU CRA, which comes into force in 2026, requires manufacturers of connected digital products to implement cybersecurity risk management, maintain SBOMs, and report actively exploited vulnerabilities within 24 hours. Similar expectations are already in place through U.S. Executive Order 14028 and FDA cybersecurity guidance, while regulators in India, Japan, and South Korea are formalizing SBOM requirements across regulated sectors. Failure to comply can result in penalties, delayed approvals, recalls, or restricted market access.

By bringing together accurate SBOM generation for digital products, continuous vulnerability intelligence, secure sharing, data quality assurance, prioritization, and consumer-side visibility in a single platform, Keysight SBOM Manager helps organizations reduce regulatory risk, improve vulnerability response, and build greater trust across global digital supply chains.

Resources

Product Page: Keysight SBOM Manager

About Keysight Technologies

At Keysight (NYSE: KEYS), we inspire and empower innovators to bring world-changing technologies to life.
Turning Awareness Into Action: DP World Champions Living Organ Donation

DP World recently partnered with The Kidney Foundation of Canada to turn a Vancouver Canucks game into a platform for purpose: hosting living organ donors in its corporate suite to raise awareness of the lifesaving impact of organ donation.

The event brought together 10 living donors as part of the Living Donor Circle of Excellence program, celebrating them and amplifying their stories beyond the healthcare setting. Attendees were recognized in-arena, including with a Jumbotron feature, while Kidney Foundation representatives engaged fans at the Canucks Community Corner to further raise awareness.

The evening marked the first time the Living Donor Circle of Excellence program was spotlighted at a Vancouver Canucks game, made possible through DP World’s support.

Adding a personal dimension to the evening, DP World’s Vancouver Senior Terminal Manager, Dan Cooke — a liver transplant recipient — hosted the suite, offering a meaningful reminder of the real lives connected to every act of donation.

“Having the opportunity to spend the evening surrounded by living donors was both humbling and very meaningful for me. The gift of organ donations saves lives every day, including mine. Having DP World join the Circle of Excellence is another great example of good that we can all do for our people and community,” said Cooke.

Dr. John Gill, nephrologist and founder of the Living Donor Circle of Excellence program, said: “We're here tonight to celebrate living organ donors and to recognize the importance of removing barriers so more people can give this life-saving gift. Supporting donors is how we make more transplants possible.”

From Awareness to Action

The Living Donor Circle of Excellence program, delivered in partnership with The Kidney Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Society of Transplantation and the American Society of Transplantation, recognizes employers that are helping remove barriers to living organ donation.

A key challenge for potential donors is financial: time away from work and lost wages during recovery can delay or prevent donation altogether. Members of the program commit to addressing this by providing at least 80% wage replacement during the recovery period.

In 2025, DP World joined the program, ensuring that employees who choose to become living organ donors continue to receive wages and benefits during their recovery.

Doug Smith, CEO of DP World in Canada, said: “Supporting our people means removing barriers when they choose to do something extraordinary. By ensuring employees can become living organ donors without financial strain, we’re not only investing in their wellbeing — we’re helping make more lifesaving transplants possible.”

Today, more than 220 employers across Canada and the United States participate, collectively supporting approximately 2.9 million employees.

A Growing Need and Opportunity to Act

The urgency behind these efforts is clear. The need for organs continues to outpace availability, with wait times for a deceased donor often averaging three to four years or longer. These delays can seriously impact a patient’s health, sometimes making them too sick for a transplant — tragically, some people die while waiting. In contrast, living donor transplants offer a highly successful alternative, with much shorter wait times and better long-term outcomes for the transplanted organ.

Advancing a Culture of Support

For many people living with kidney disease, a transplant offers the best possible path to improved health and quality of life, but access depends on both awareness and support.

By combining community engagement with employee-first policies, DP World is helping address both sides of that equation.

DP World’s efforts demonstrate how companies can use their platforms not only to raise visibility, but to actively support the people behind these extraordinary decisions —bridging awareness with action in ways that can ultimately help save more lives.

Learn more about the Living Donor of Excellence Program

Learn more about DP World’s impact in Canada

New California Training Academy To Power Next-Gen HVAC Innovation

News Summary

LG cut the ribbon on its newest LG Air Conditioning Technologies Training Academy in Orange, Calif., as LG continues its commitment to equip California HVAC professionals with the knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality heat pump installations for efficient indoor comfort and water heating.

The facility’s opening coincided with California Heat Pump Week. Gilmore, and representatives from local and national elected officials’ offices to the Richard R. Rogers Manufacturing and Research & Development Center, also known as “R3,” for Mary Kay’s largest-ever Women in STEMK Day.

<img src="https://3blaws.s3.amazonaws.com/inline-images/mary-kay-hosts-largest-ever-women-stem-day_MARY-KAY_041726-2.jpg" data-entity-uuid="454da405-6b5b-49c8-9af8-296a06494ba2" data-entity-type="file" alt="Nearly 100 Lewisville Independent School District students visited May Kay’s Richard R. Rogers Manufacturing and Research & Development Center. (Photo Courtesy: Bill Birt)

This immersive experience was designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and expand young women’s perceptions of what a STEM career can look like at Mary Kay. Over 60 corporate employees volunteered their time serving as expert panelists, tour guides, and lab scientists to ensure a memorable experience for the students.

“Unlocking the potential of the next generation of women in science and innovation isn’t just important – it is transformative,” said Dr. Lucy Gildea, Chief Brand and Scientific Officer at Mary Kay. “When we equip young women with the confidence, tools, and knowledge to pursue STEM, we’re not just opening doors – we are redefining the future. These brilliant minds will lead breakthroughs, reshape industries, and bring fresh vision to both beauty and science. Watching that moment when curiosity turns into ambition, when possibility becomes purpose, that’s where real change begins. And that’s how we build a future where women don’t just participate in STEM – they lead it.”

Explore, Create, Innovate through three cornerstone experiences.
Throughout the day, groups of students rotated through three cornerstone experiences each designed to give them a firsthand look at STEM career possibilities:

Behind‑the‑scenes facility tour of R3
Tour guides led the groups through each of the facilities’ areas to give students a taste of all the various STEM jobs that range from upstream research and product formulation to manufacturing and supply chain and everything in between.

Hands-On “Create Your Own Lip Gloss” Lab Experiment
During the lab session, students worked alongside Mary Kay scientists to experience what hands‑on experimentation looks like in a real R&D environment. Each left with a unique shade of Mary Kay Unlimited® Lip Gloss inspired by their very own in-lab creation.

Women in STEMK Mentor Panels.
Three panels of our resident expert females in STEM shared personal stories of career pivots, overcoming imposter syndrome, finding their place in a male-dominated field, and reassurance that a career path is anything but linear.

<img src="https://3blaws.s3.amazonaws.com/inline-images/mary-kay-hosts-largest-ever-women-stem-day_MARY-KAY_041726-3.jpg" data-entity-uuid="c4c7ca12-5019-4e5f-93ca-e6cb43e7808f" data-entity-type="file" alt="Students worked alongside Mary Kay scientists to create a unique shade of Mary Kay Unlimited® Lip Gloss. (Photo Courtesy: Bill Birt)

This rotating format allowed every student to engage directly with our female STEM leaders, see, and learn about our world-class innovation center, and hear about the many career paths that exist within STEM at Mary Kay and beyond.

“Through our partnership with Mary Kay, Lewisville ISD is able to provide students with meaningful, real-world STEM experiences that bring classroom learning to life,” said Lindsay Ayers, Administrator of Business Partnerships at Lewisville Independent School District. “Together, we are connecting students with inspiring women leaders, expanding their understanding of career possibilities, and helping them build the confidence and skills needed for future success. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to preparing the next generation - especially young women - to lead, innovate, and thrive in STEM fields.”
<img src="https://3blaws.s3.amazonaws.com/inline-images/mary-kay-hosts-largest-ever-women-stem-day_MARY-KAY_041726-4.jpg" data-entity-uuid="661e7910-7875-4558-8f00-fbe2cb7ed68a" data-entity-type="file" alt="Every student got to engage directly with our female STEM leaders, see, and learn about our world-class innovation center, and hear about the many career paths within STEM at Mary Kay and beyond. (Photo Courtesy: Bill Birt)

Women in STEM Day: Sophomore Student Survey Results

Students were invited to complete a pre- and post‑event survey to share how the experience influenced their perceptions of women in STEM careers and Mary Kay as a women’s empowerment brand.

94% of students reported a positive impact from seeing women in STEM roles.

70% of students said seeing women in diverse STEM roles “greatly impacted their view of their own career possibilities.”

91% now recognize STEM careers in cosmetics reach beyond sales/marketing.

After visiting, students shifted focus away from earnings and toward purpose, balance, and creativity.

“High earning potential” decreased in importance while “work-life balance,” “helping others,” and “creativity” increased.

The impact is clear, but don’t take our word for it, take theirs. When asked “What surprised you most about the facility or the careers you learned about?” students responded:

“I have never seen so many women holding such high positions in a company (sad, I know) in real life. I loved seeing smart, beautiful, strong women so much.”

“How passionate the women were about their work.”

“What surprised me is how many people were really willing to teach us and actually liked their job.”

“I was surprised that on the panel, there were more than chemists and manufacturers, demonstrating that a business like Mary Kay has more that goes into it than the makeup.”

“All the testing and thinking behind what we just see when we are shopping for products.”

“I was surprised by the diversity in their jobs that they did throughout their lifetime. They were successful even if they didn’t have everything figured out by junior year of high school and that inspired me and calmed my anxiety!”

“I was surprised to learn that there were way more to makeup related fields other than engineering. It made me invested in potential careers that I might be interested in doing.”

“How many women in the fields I dream of were present. As well as how productive and creative people are to become the successful force of Mary Kay.”

Why It Matters

Exposing young women to the possibilities of a future in STEM can be life changing during critical formative years. Women in STEMK events reflect Mary Kay’s long‑standing commitment to expanding access, representation, and opportunity – especially at pivotal moments when young women begin shaping their academic and career aspirations.

The experience was mutually beneficial. The expert panelists also left with learnings and new perspectives:

Laura Reinschmidt, Manager, Process Development & Commercialization

“I didn’t have opportunities like this growing up, so it’s really meaningful to be part of something that’s changing that for the next generation. It’s so powerful for them to see just how many possibilities are out there. I’m really passionate about helping young girls see that these paths are within reach for them too, and it was also so great hearing everyone on the panel share their journeys so openly.”

Geetha Kalahasti, Associate Principal Scientist

“Truly inspiring!! It’s wonderful to see the impact this experience had on the students. I really enjoyed being part of this and love that we’re able to give back and help guide the next generation.”

By opening our doors, sharing our stories, and investing time in mentorship, we’re helping students envision futures they may not have previously considered – reinforcing Mary Kay’s role as a place where science, innovation, and purpose are empowering the next generation.

Did You Know:

Boasting a 62% female, global R&D team, Mary Kay celebrates and encourages young women who are taking charge of their futures through leadership, innovation, and determination to excel in STEM fields.[1]

According to UNESCO, female students represent only 35% of all students enrolled in STEM-related fields of study in higher education globally[2].

The Mary Kay Richard R.
During an Altaviva™ Implant, the Patient Talked About Lunch. That Was the Point.

When Sarah Tapani sat in on one of the first Altaviva™ implants, the patient wasn’t focused on the procedure. She was chatting about what she wanted for lunch.

After injecting a local anesthetic, the physician slid an Altaviva™ device — a Medtronic device smaller than a standard stick of gum that treats the symptoms of urinary urge incontinence (the involuntary loss of urine associated with urgency) — into a small incision near the patient’s ankle and closed it with a couple of stitches. The conversation never paused.

Tapani, a senior director and core team lead in the Medtronic tibial portfolio and a driving force behind the engineering that brought the Altaviva™ device to life, took it all in and one thought kept coming to mind: if the patient is planning lunch mid-procedure, we’re doing something right.

The goal of keeping it easy for patients and physicians was so important to the Altaviva™ device team that it became part of the project’s mantra: “hard for us, easy for them.”

The Altaviva™ device was recently named a 2026 Edison Award winner in the Health, Medical and Biotech category. The award honors the most consequential innovations across the globe.

A strategic bet

It’s been known for a long time that stimulating the tibial nerve in the ankle is a way to treat bladder symptoms, according to Medtronic engineers close to this work.

But the team still faced a new, significant challenge. Could they take a therapy that usually requires weekly clinic visits to a small, implantable battery that quietly blended into a patient’s life?

As Medtronic teams approached the challenge, there were three non-negotiables, Tapani said: the device had to be safe, it had to be simple, and it had to get to patients fast.

Those early results mattered. Engineering, clinical and regulatory strategy, and commercialization all moved in parallel.

“While the pivotal study was getting results, the engineers were squeezing a lot of innovation into that little device,” Tapani said.

The system evolved significantly inside and out, with features like new chipsets, lead elimination, and MRI-compatible design.

One way the teams stuck to their goal of ease-of-use was to resist the urge to add unnecessary features just because they could. Senior Principal Systems Engineer and technical lead on the program Kunal Paralikar called it avoiding “cognitive burden,” or not making patients and clinicians think harder than they need to.

This required attention to detail and thoughtful design touches.

For example, the team incorporated intelligence so the device’s system and the patient’s Altaviva My Therapy application — which is like a phone app, but on a handheld programmer provided by Medtronic — could be synced to update the device’s internal time when the clocks changed for daylight savings’ time — a seemingly simple task that was anything but.

“It was all in an effort to come to an additional therapy option for patients,” he said.

For Tapani, what stands out most isn’t a single technical breakthrough, but the way the team showed up for the people they were building for.

“Patients and clinicians always came first for us,” she said.

That mindset carried the Altaviva™ system from idea to approval to launch — and ultimately, into the lives of patients.

For the team, that’s the measure of success: when years of hard work come together in a therapy designed to fit into patients’ lives.

Learn more about Medtronic.

In addition to risks related to surgery, complications can include pain at the implant site, lower leg pain, infection, and/or technical or device problems.
Five Years Later: How Chemours’ Forest Partnership in West Virginia Is Delivering Measurable Climate and Community Impact

In 2021, Chemours made a commitment to pair climate action with community investment. Aligned with the company’s 2030 Corporate Responsibility Commitment (CRC) goals, Chemours partnered with the American Forest Foundation (AFF) to help launch the Family Forest Carbon Program (FFCP) in West Virginia—an initiative designed to support family forest owners in implementing management practices that grow the economic and environmental value of their forested properties over time.

Five years later, the results underscore what is possible when climate solutions are built through collaboration and centered on local communities.

Program Growth That Exceeded Early Expectations

What began with a goal of enrolling 50 landowners and 6,500 acres of family-owned forest has grown significantly. As of late 2023, 101 landowners and more than 15,500 acres were enrolled in the program—more than doubling initial targets.

According to AFF’s estimates, those enrolled forests will store an additional 250,000 tonnes of CO₂e over the next 20 years, representing a meaningful contribution to climate mitigation. To put that impact in context, this level of carbon storage is equivalent to removing the emissions associated with burning 275 million pounds of coal from the atmosphere.

Importantly, the program’s success in West Virginia has also helped catalyze additional investment in similar initiatives across Appalachia and beyond.

An Intentional Focus on Communities Navigating Economic Transition

From the outset, Chemours and AFF were deliberate about where the work would take place. Enrollment in West Virginia was focused on Logan, Wyoming, Boone, Fayette, and Kanawha counties—communities that have historically relied on the fossil fuel economy and are navigating significant economic transition as energy systems evolve.

Today, these counties represent a disproportionate amount of FFCP participation in the state, and the program’s benefits extend beyond environmental outcomes to support economic resilience in regions facing real change.

Forests That Create Value for Families and Communities

The FFCP is designed to deliver tangible benefits to landowners while strengthening sustainable forestry practices. To date, the American Forest Foundation has committed $8.2 million in practice payments to participating landowners in West Virginia.

Those investments support local sustainable forestry jobs, help families build long-term value from land they have stewarded for generations, and reinforce the role that family-owned forests can play in addressing climate challenges at scale.

Measurable Impact, Built Through Partnership

For Chemours employees and stakeholders in West Virginia, this work is more than a sustainability milestone—it is happening in local communities, with neighbors and families directly benefiting from the program’s success.

The American Forest Foundation’s mission has long been to empower family forest landowners to deliver meaningful conservation outcomes. Through this partnership, Chemours has helped advance that mission in a region where climate action and community investment are deeply interconnected.

Five years in, the results offer a clear takeaway: when climate initiatives are designed with communities at the center, the impact is not only meaningful—it is measurable.

Novata Expands Regulatory Navigator To Simplify Sustainability Regulations

NEW YORK, April 20, 2026 /3BL/ - Novata, the leading sustainability management platform for private markets, today announced a significant expansion of the Novata Regulatory Navigator. The solution now includes a Premium tier designed to help organizations remove the heavy lifting of monitoring regulatory noise to take clear, confident action.

As global sustainability regulations increase in complexity, companies and investors face a challenge: determining what applies to them and when. The updated Regulatory Navigator solves this through an AI-powered, expert-validated engine that uses over 30 specific company data points (such as revenue, jurisdiction, and employee count) to pinpoint relevant regulatory obligations.

“Regulatory requirements are no longer just a ‘reporting’ issue; they are a core business risk,” said Caitlin Pentifallo, Novata’s Head of Regulatory Strategy & Sustainability. “We built the Regulatory Navigator to act as an experienced coach for our clients. By combining real-time AI monitoring with our team’s sustainability expertise, we provide the clarity teams need to stop wondering which rules apply and start taking action.”

The Regulatory Navigator is available in two tiers to meet organizations at any stage of their journey:

Regulatory Navigator (Free): Provides a foundational view of the global regulatory landscape. Users can create a company profile in minutes to understand which regulations apply to them and hone in on country-specific requirements and impact.

Regulatory Navigator Premium: A comprehensive workflow solution for teams. Additional features include a centralized dashboard with real-time news feeds, a Kanban-style Monitoring Hub to track compliance status, a global monitoring heat map, “Regulation Cards” that provide timelines, source links, and specific applicability criteria for easier tracking, and trend analysis to help teams see around corners on where sustainability policy development is headed.

The Premium version also introduces Organization Structure visualizations, allowing GPs and large parent companies to monitor regulatory exposure across entire portfolios, supply chains, or complex entity hierarchies.

“Sustainability regulations have exploded in complexity over the last several years, not just in volume, but in the demands it places on companies. These are novel legal obligations, often conflicting across jurisdictions, and the pace of change means that simply knowing which rules apply to you has become a serious undertaking in its own right. And knowing which regulations apply is only the first step, actually operationalizing compliance and staying ahead of what’s coming is where most teams are really struggling,” said Beth Meyer, Novata’s Chief Legal Officer. “The Regulatory Navigator helps teams cut through that complexity by providing a clear, centralized view of what applies and when, so they can move forward with confidence and ease.”

Unlike tools that rely solely on automated scraping, the Regulatory Navigator features a "human-in-the-loop" approach. It uses AI to scan global government registries, primary sources, and top-tier news sources, but every insight is reviewed by Novata’s expert team for accuracy and relevance before it reaches the client.

The Premium tier's trend analysis capability empowers organizations to shift how they are approaching regulatory risk, moving from reactive compliance to proactive strategy. Rather than waiting for rules to land, teams can use emerging policy signals to inform their planning, get ahead of disclosure requirements, and turn regulatory preparedness into a competitive advantage.

To learn more or see how it works, visit Novata’s website.

About Novata

Novata’s solutions make it easy for organizations to achieve their sustainability goals and create value. Our trusted sustainability management platform and advisory practice empowers organizations to automate data collection and reporting, streamline carbon accounting, simplify regulations, benchmark performance, and monitor risk.

Backed by the Ford Foundation, Hamilton Lane, Microsoft, Motive Partners, Omidyar Network, and S&P Global, Novata is majority controlled by mission-driven organizations and its employees, and is a B-Corp-certified public benefit corporation. www.novata.com

Contacts

Media Contact
Katie Stueber
press@novata.com

Data Center Sustainability: The Value of Partnerships

This article is authored by Mauro J. Atalla, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer, Trane Technologies

The AI-enabled economy is accelerating at a breakneck pace, but its ultimate speed limit won't be dictated by software; instead, it will be defined by the necessary physical infrastructure: power, cooling, water and space. At the same time, the increased infrastructure demand challenges the limits of traditional engineering. From climate modeling to advanced biomedical research and physical-AI applications, each breakthrough creates new requirements for power density and data center cooling efficiency.

As Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer, I see firsthand that the future of data centers depends not just on isolated technological breakthroughs, but on deep, strategic industry partnerships. This dual role reinforces a core truth: our greatest technological challenges and our most urgent sustainability imperatives are fundamentally intertwined. Meeting the needs of the AI economy in a sustainable fashion requires us to radically rethink how we design, build, and operate these facilities.

Engineering for a constrained world

Unprecedented scale and growth are rapidly shifting the industry’s requirements. To deliver the infrastructure necessary to power this new era, we must engineer solutions that can handle dynamic, high-density workloads while optimizing energy management and power consumption, water usage, and even acoustic profiles and noise generation. Achieving our sustainability goals is a critical imperative that is functionally linked to greater operational efficiency. We must minimize resource use and our physical footprint while maximizing overall reliability and uptime.

No single organization can solve these multifaceted challenges alone. As rack power densities leap forward, innovating at the pace our customers require demands more than the knowledge contained within our own four walls. It requires a holistic ecosystem approach.

Consolidating expertise across the ecosystem

A prime example of this collaborative approach is our work with NVIDIA. Together, we developed the first comprehensive thermal management system reference design for gigawatt-scale AI factories, engineered to support high-density platforms like Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin. By combining Trane Technologies’ advanced HVAC expertise with NVIDIA’s Omniverse-powered digital twin capabilities, we can simulate and optimize the real-world performance of thermal systems before they are installed.

We have since built on this foundation with two new designs and further optimizations. These enhanced reference designs achieve a nearly 10% improvement in overall thermal management performance, effectively freeing up 22 MW of cooling capacity in a 1 GW data center for additional IT capacity. Furthermore, our new 250-MW duplex design delivers 14% higher efficiency with integrated heat recovery, proving that we can drastically increase compute capacity without unnecessarily elevating total data center energy consumption.

But the required ecosystem must be broad and inclusive. We are actively engaging with leading chip manufacturers to ensure our data center cooling systems are adaptable across various hardware architectures. Furthermore, to address the energy demands of modern facilities, we are partnering with specialists in onsite power generation and advanced electrical distribution. These collaborations are essential for creating resilient microgrids, enabling the direct integration of renewable energy sources at the site level, and ensuring that facilities have the highest efficiency, minimizing resource utilization. Beyond the physical hardware, working with technology leaders like Autodesk expands our ability to streamline workflows and democratize the benefits of AI for building owners and operators.

"These new advancements reflect what’s possible when deep expertise and shared purpose come together."

Mauro J. Atalla
Senior Vice President and Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer, Trane Technologies

Bridging the gap between research and deployment

Evolving chip and cooling technologies present both opportunities and risks. Rushed, untested solutions can disrupt operations, while delayed adoption can leave operators lagging behind. Dr. Dereje Agonafer, Distinguished Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, underscored this during a recent discussion on our Healthy Spaces podcast on data center energy demands: “We need to have a better dialogue between academia and the industry. That’s really the way that our nation can succeed.”

Putting this into practice, we are supporting academic partners at the University of Maryland and UT Arlington, where we are participating in the U.S. Department of Energy ARPA-E COOLERCHIPS program. These direct research partnerships accelerate the design process for next-generation facilities, facilitating the rapid development and testing of novel hybrid cooling solutions that drastically reduce energy and water needs.

Connecting data centers to the broader energy grid

As these partnerships move the field forward, we are collectively unlocking new levels of efficiency across the entire digital infrastructure landscape. Instead of viewing data centers solely as massive power consumers, engineers and policymakers are increasingly recognizing them as integral parts of a larger energy ecosystem.

Through advanced waste heat recovery and redistribution, data centers can actively contribute back to the network. By integrating closed-loop and hybrid liquid cooling systems, we enable localized benefits—capturing low-grade heat and using it to supply thermal energy to local communities. A prime example of this is our work with Infomaniak, a data center operator in Geneva, Switzerland. Together with the developer and the local community, we designed a system using advanced Trane heat pumps that recovers virtually 100 percent of the facility's waste heat. That thermal energy is injected directly into the city's district heating network, supplying enough energy to warm 6,000 homes in the winter or provide 20,000 hot showers in the summer. This is how we drive more efficient community integration.

The future of collaborative innovation

A clear lesson from the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure has emerged: successful innovation is measured by resilience, adaptability and positive real-world impact. The race to build the next generation of data centers is fundamentally a race for intelligent resource stewardship and reliable design.

With billions in capital at stake and high execution risks, enduring progress is only possible through deep, cross-industry collaborations capable of reliably delivering the speed, scalability, and vision that tomorrow’s digital solutions and infrastructure demands. The demands of an AI-driven world require more than just hardware; they call for new alliances, multidisciplinary approaches and human ingenuity. Our commitment remains clear: to bring people, ideas and expertise together to engineer and scale sustainable solutions.

See how Trane Technologies transforms innovation into measurable results, advancing efficiency, sustainability and performance across industries. - Learn more about our sustainable innovation.

Together, the companies aim to help bring identity, trust, and access to the agentic open web.

The Internet is currently undergoing a fundamental shift, expanding from a web of pages designed for humans to a web that is also designed to support agents acting on behalf of humans. Without clear standards and tools, this transition risks overwhelming website owners, including small businesses and content creators, with unidentifiable and potentially malicious bot traffic. There needs to be a way to ensure that website owners have the tools to easily identify, manage, and trust AI traffic.

Visibility and Control for AI Crawlers

Starting today, GoDaddy will integrate Cloudflare’s AI Crawl Control into its website hosting platform, helping website owners, including small businesses and creators, globally gain visibility and control over how automated AI-powered crawlers access their website content. This helps website owners manage which AI crawlers can collect their information while helping keep their site protected.

Identity and Transparency for AI Agents

Beyond just controlling crawls to a site, the industry needs standardized ways to verify who operates an agent and what an agent is allowed to do. However, enforcing consistent identification methods for bots and agents that want to interact with web applications in a safe manner is a more nuanced problem. ANS is a global open standard introduced by GoDaddy that is designed to support consistent naming, verification, and discovery for AI agents across systems, using proven open standards, domain name system (DNS), and public key infrastructure (PKI). ANS enables website owners to distinguish legitimate AI agents from unidentified AI agents, including malicious impersonators, on the open web.

Cloudflare is committed to a transparent agentic web and supports ANS and the development of a broad range of verifiable agent identity standards. In 2025, Cloudflare also introduced Web Bot Auth as a new method of using cryptography to verify bot and agent traffic, as well as a Signature Agent Card to help agent developers transparently share their agent’s identity and purpose. With an open ecosystem of standards and methods for identifying agents, the agentic web can evolve with transparency built in by default.

Together, Cloudflare and GoDaddy aim to provide the technical architecture to move into the agentic web era and help to:

Enforce a permission-based model for the agentic web: GoDaddy is integrating Cloudflare’s AI Crawl Control directly into its hosting experience. This allows any website owner to set their own terms—choosing to allow, block, or signal that payment is required—protecting the value of their content.

Build trust and transparency into AI-native commerce: Identifying a bot is no longer enough; we must enable them to transact. By supporting ANS and Web Bot Auth, Cloudflare and GoDaddy are providing the verifiable identity layer needed for a functional digital marketplace. This ensures that when an agent makes a request—whether for a data query or an autonomous purchase—its identity is cryptographically signed, creating the trust necessary for a sustainable value exchange.

Secure a fair value exchange in the Answer Engine era: As the Internet shifts from search-and-click to AI-generated answers, the traditional traffic-based business model is breaking. This partnership provides one technical solution to this economic challenge. By combining granular audit logs with transparent agent identity, GoDaddy and Cloudflare are helping enable an ecosystem where human-generated content remains the lifeblood of the web but is protected and compensated in an AI-first world.

"The Internet is evolving into a high-velocity, AI-driven ecosystem, and that requires a new kind of transparent infrastructure," said Stephanie Cohen, Chief Strategy Officer at Cloudflare. "By putting tools like AI Crawl Control and open standards into the hands of website owners, we are providing essential underpinnings for a new Internet business model. We want to ensure that every creator has the tools to verify who is interacting with their site, while giving legitimate AI agents a secure, transparent way to participate in a thriving open web.”

“By working with Cloudflare on AI Crawl Control and championing the Agent Name Service, an open standard giving every agent a verifiable identity built on DNS, we are providing our customers the transparency they need to thrive in an AI-first world,” said GoDaddy Chief Strategy Officer, Jared Sine. “We move at the speed of the Internet, and we're working with the broader industry to ensure the agentic open web does too.”

To learn more, check out the following resources:

ANS Open Standard

Web Bot Auth

Signature Agent Card

AI Crawl Control

About Cloudflare

Cloudflare, Inc.

Local leaders across Georgia can now see a more detailed picture of what impacts to expect from climate change with a new map tool released by Drawdown Georgia.

The group, which aims to reduce the state’s greenhouse gas emissions, unveiled the maps at the Super South Summit in Atlanta last week.

Scientists warn that Georgia can expect hotter, longer summers, more extreme weather, more rainfall overall and also longer droughts. But those impacts will vary across the state.

Now, researchers have found ways to scale down big-picture data so they can project not just how climate change is affecting Georgia or the Southeast broadly, but also how it’s changing conditions in specific locations.

Read the full story on WABE.
