Gilmore, and representatives from local and national elected officials’ offices to the Richard R. Rogers Manufacturing and Research & Development Center, also known as “R3,” for Mary Kay’s largest-ever Women in STEMK Day.

<img src="https://3blaws.s3.amazonaws.com/inline-images/mary-kay-hosts-largest-ever-women-stem-day_MARY-KAY_041726-2.jpg" data-entity-uuid="454da405-6b5b-49c8-9af8-296a06494ba2" data-entity-type="file" alt="Nearly 100 Lewisville Independent School District students visited May Kay’s Richard R. Rogers Manufacturing and Research & Development Center. (Photo Courtesy: Bill Birt)

This immersive experience was designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and expand young women’s perceptions of what a STEM career can look like at Mary Kay. Over 60 corporate employees volunteered their time serving as expert panelists, tour guides, and lab scientists to ensure a memorable experience for the students.

“Unlocking the potential of the next generation of women in science and innovation isn’t just important – it is transformative,” said Dr. Lucy Gildea, Chief Brand and Scientific Officer at Mary Kay. “When we equip young women with the confidence, tools, and knowledge to pursue STEM, we’re not just opening doors – we are redefining the future. These brilliant minds will lead breakthroughs, reshape industries, and bring fresh vision to both beauty and science. Watching that moment when curiosity turns into ambition, when possibility becomes purpose, that’s where real change begins. And that’s how we build a future where women don’t just participate in STEM – they lead it.”

Explore, Create, Innovate through three cornerstone experiences.
Throughout the day, groups of students rotated through three cornerstone experiences each designed to give them a firsthand look at STEM career possibilities:

Behind‑the‑scenes facility tour of R3
Tour guides led the groups through each of the facilities’ areas to give students a taste of all the various STEM jobs that range from upstream research and product formulation to manufacturing and supply chain and everything in between.

Hands-On “Create Your Own Lip Gloss” Lab Experiment
During the lab session, students worked alongside Mary Kay scientists to experience what hands‑on experimentation looks like in a real R&D environment. Each left with a unique shade of Mary Kay Unlimited® Lip Gloss inspired by their very own in-lab creation.

Women in STEMK Mentor Panels.
Three panels of our resident expert females in STEM shared personal stories of career pivots, overcoming imposter syndrome, finding their place in a male-dominated field, and reassurance that a career path is anything but linear.

<img src="https://3blaws.s3.amazonaws.com/inline-images/mary-kay-hosts-largest-ever-women-stem-day_MARY-KAY_041726-3.jpg" data-entity-uuid="c4c7ca12-5019-4e5f-93ca-e6cb43e7808f" data-entity-type="file" alt="Students worked alongside Mary Kay scientists to create a unique shade of Mary Kay Unlimited® Lip Gloss. (Photo Courtesy: Bill Birt)

This rotating format allowed every student to engage directly with our female STEM leaders, see, and learn about our world-class innovation center, and hear about the many career paths that exist within STEM at Mary Kay and beyond.

“Through our partnership with Mary Kay, Lewisville ISD is able to provide students with meaningful, real-world STEM experiences that bring classroom learning to life,” said Lindsay Ayers, Administrator of Business Partnerships at Lewisville Independent School District. “Together, we are connecting students with inspiring women leaders, expanding their understanding of career possibilities, and helping them build the confidence and skills needed for future success. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to preparing the next generation - especially young women - to lead, innovate, and thrive in STEM fields.”
<img src="https://3blaws.s3.amazonaws.com/inline-images/mary-kay-hosts-largest-ever-women-stem-day_MARY-KAY_041726-4.jpg" data-entity-uuid="661e7910-7875-4558-8f00-fbe2cb7ed68a" data-entity-type="file" alt="Every student got to engage directly with our female STEM leaders, see, and learn about our world-class innovation center, and hear about the many career paths within STEM at Mary Kay and beyond. (Photo Courtesy: Bill Birt)

Women in STEM Day: Sophomore Student Survey Results

Students were invited to complete a pre- and post‑event survey to share how the experience influenced their perceptions of women in STEM careers and Mary Kay as a women’s empowerment brand.

94% of students reported a positive impact from seeing women in STEM roles.

70% of students said seeing women in diverse STEM roles “greatly impacted their view of their own career possibilities.”

91% now recognize STEM careers in cosmetics reach beyond sales/marketing.

After visiting, students shifted focus away from earnings and toward purpose, balance, and creativity.

“High earning potential” decreased in importance while “work-life balance,” “helping others,” and “creativity” increased.

The impact is clear, but don’t take our word for it, take theirs. When asked “What surprised you most about the facility or the careers you learned about?” students responded:

“I have never seen so many women holding such high positions in a company (sad, I know) in real life. I loved seeing smart, beautiful, strong women so much.”

“How passionate the women were about their work.”

“What surprised me is how many people were really willing to teach us and actually liked their job.”

“I was surprised that on the panel, there were more than chemists and manufacturers, demonstrating that a business like Mary Kay has more that goes into it than the makeup.”

“All the testing and thinking behind what we just see when we are shopping for products.”

“I was surprised by the diversity in their jobs that they did throughout their lifetime. They were successful even if they didn’t have everything figured out by junior year of high school and that inspired me and calmed my anxiety!”

“I was surprised to learn that there were way more to makeup related fields other than engineering. It made me invested in potential careers that I might be interested in doing.”

“How many women in the fields I dream of were present. As well as how productive and creative people are to become the successful force of Mary Kay.”

Why It Matters

Exposing young women to the possibilities of a future in STEM can be life changing during critical formative years. Women in STEMK events reflect Mary Kay’s long‑standing commitment to expanding access, representation, and opportunity – especially at pivotal moments when young women begin shaping their academic and career aspirations.

The experience was mutually beneficial. The expert panelists also left with learnings and new perspectives:

Laura Reinschmidt, Manager, Process Development & Commercialization

“I didn’t have opportunities like this growing up, so it’s really meaningful to be part of something that’s changing that for the next generation. It’s so powerful for them to see just how many possibilities are out there. I’m really passionate about helping young girls see that these paths are within reach for them too, and it was also so great hearing everyone on the panel share their journeys so openly.”

Geetha Kalahasti, Associate Principal Scientist

“Truly inspiring!! It’s wonderful to see the impact this experience had on the students. I really enjoyed being part of this and love that we’re able to give back and help guide the next generation.”

By opening our doors, sharing our stories, and investing time in mentorship, we’re helping students envision futures they may not have previously considered – reinforcing Mary Kay’s role as a place where science, innovation, and purpose are empowering the next generation.

Did You Know:

Boasting a 62% female, global R&D team, Mary Kay celebrates and encourages young women who are taking charge of their futures through leadership, innovation, and determination to excel in STEM fields.[1]

According to UNESCO, female students represent only 35% of all students enrolled in STEM-related fields of study in higher education globally[2].

The Mary Kay Richard R. Rogers Manufacturing and Research & Development Center features 21 product packaging lines which have the combined capability of producing up to 1 million units per day.

<img src="https://3blaws.s3.amazonaws.com/inline-images/mary-kay-hosts-largest-ever-women-stem-day_MARY-KAY_041726-5.jpg" data-entity-uuid="0ba97a33-8c1c-4346-b3d1-6188fd71ab0c" data-entity-type="file" alt="The Mary Kay Richard R. To celebrate the opening, Donovan and the LA Galaxy’s President and Chief Operating Officer Tom Braun joined district leaders to emphasize how community-based sports can drive youth development and bring people together.

Following a ribbon‑cutting ceremony that opened with a performance by the El Rancho High School cheerleading squad, the Galaxy activated the mini pitch with a soccer clinic centered on skills and drills for Birney Tech Academy students.

“Landon’s legacy is rooted in inspiring young players,” said Tom Braun, President and Chief Operating Officer, LA Galaxy. “Bringing this mini pitch to Pico Rivera ensures that legacy continues by creating new opportunities for kids to discover the game.”

The community celebration continued later that evening as the Galaxy honored Donovan during a special match at Dignity Health Sports Park, when the team faced Minnesota United FC. The night featured a celebration of Donovan’s historic career and included the distribution of 15,000 bobbleheads to fans in attendance.

Together, the mini pitch and celebration underscore how soccer, and the leaders who have shaped it, can continue to inspire the next generation, on and off the field.

Connecting Across Continents With Women of Cisco Networking Academy

This Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating women around the world who are helping build the future of technology and spotlighting the skills that helped them along the way.

Through Cisco Networking Academy, millions of learners each year gain the skills and credentials they need to lead, create, and thrive in the tech industry. Here, we’re showcasing a few of Cisco Networking Academy’s inspiring women and their unique career journeys.

From the plains of Canada to the vibrant tech communities of Iraq, their stories show that with the right skills, the possibilities are limitless — and that together, we can build a more inclusive and innovative future for all.

Resilience and the power of connection in the Americas

In Canada, Sharon Angus is redefining what it means to be a mentor. Drawing from her Plains Cree and Mohawk roots, Sharon uses the concept of wâhkôhtwin, or the belief that all things are interconnected, to teach IT.

For Sharon, Cisco Networking Academy was more than just a curriculum; it was a career-defining anchor. “I feel like being here at Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies, teaching this [Cisco Networking Academy] program has just been a culmination of my entire career, and I feel like I’m exactly where I need to be.”

Similarly, in Costa Rica, Pamela Soto’s journey from a factory worker to a High Touch Technical Support Engineer at Cisco showcases the necessity of structured learning. “Cisco Networking Academy courses were fundamental to my training,” Pamela explains. “Without them, I wouldn’t have been able to start my career in networking. From the beginning, they served as a basis for troubleshooting problems or configuring labs, something I still enjoy today.”

Bridging the digital divide across EMEA

The impact of empowering women in technology is clear in the diverse pathways taken by our learners in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.

From Oumaima Ben Nasrallah in Tunisia, who transitioned from biotechnology and education to IT networking through Cisco Networking Academy, to Giada Bartoli in Italy, who made the jump from international relations to cybersecurity after earning a Cisco scholarship, our learners are proving that there is no one-size-fits-all background for technology. Both women took the leap and embraced new challenges, leveraging Cisco Networking Academy training to build confidence and advance their careers.

Meanwhile, in Iraq, our partnership with the nonprofit She Codes Too is creating a repeatable model for digital inclusion. In fact, Cisco Networking Academy was the catalyst that turned She Codes Too’s mission into an industry-aligned training experience with globally recognized credibility. By integrating this curriculum, we are helping more women in technology support national digital transformation agendas.

Curiosity and defense in the APJC region

Across the Asia-Pacific (APJC) region, we see how empowering women in technology have helped turn vulnerability into strength.

After a ransomware attack compromised her architectural firm, Tasara DeRoche in Australia turned to the Academy to master the technology that had failed her. She reflects on the rigor of the program, sharing, “Without the structured path from Cisco Networking Academy, the transition from a ransomware victim to a certified security enthusiast would have lacked the technical rigor necessary for a true career pivot.”

Meanwhile, in China, Yao Tong’s journey began with a childhood fascination of electronic circuits, eventually leading to a role as a Technical Consulting Engineer at Cisco Japan where she has started a new life for herself in Tokyo.

For Yao, the Academy provided essential groundwork for her professional life. “The foundational networking knowledge I acquired at the academy has been extremely important in my work at the Technical Assistance Center (TAC),” shared Yao. “It serves as the foundation, like the base of a building.”

Building a future without boundaries

Whether motivated by cultural background, career pivots, or cybersecurity, these women share a common thread: they utilized the resources of Cisco Networking Academy to help unlock their professional potential.

Through these efforts, we’re helping fuel the global labor market and help ensure that the digital world is built by a diverse set of voices, perspectives, and experiences.

The path is open, the tools are ready, and the world needs your unique perspective. We invite you to explore the courses and opportunities available through Cisco Networking Academy and start your own journey toward a rewarding career in technology.

View original content here.

Chemours Marks Women’s History Month Through Employee Engagement and Community Impact

Throughout March, the Chemours Women’s Network (CWN) led initiatives that engaged employees across the globe in activities designed to elevate diverse perspectives, strengthen connections, and support a more inclusive workplace and community.

Employees were encouraged to participate in learning opportunities, engagement activities, and local events that highlighted the contributions of women across science, manufacturing, sustainability, and community leadership, while reinforcing the role inclusion plays in innovation and performance.

A central element of the month was an employee Spotlight Series, which featured team members sharing perspectives on leadership, career development, mentorship, and inclusion. Featuring a range of roles, career stages, and regions, the series illustrated how diverse experiences and perspectives contribute to innovation and strengthen Chemours’ workforce. Employees reflected on how inclusion, mentorship, and allyship have shaped their growth and experiences at Chemours:

"I'm most motivated to collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences… it not only strengthens our solutions but also challenges me to grow every day."

Laura Bartholomew, Thermal & Specialized Solutions Global Sustainability Leader

"Working in a technical job where accuracy is so important, I found myself hesitating to make decisions, especially if I didn't have all the information. My mentor’s advice helped me learn that true growth comes from stepping out of your comfort zone, and that can mean making decisions with incomplete information.”

Ruthie Bauer, Manufacturing Technology Engineer

"Real growth happens when you step outside your comfort zone. If a new role feels entirely familiar from day one, it may not be stretching you enough."

Cheyenne Ysewijn, CWN Belgium Chapter Leader & Sales Effectiveness Analyst

“I’m the only male member of the Chemours Women’s Network [India Chapter], and the fact that this feels completely normal, welcomed, and even appreciated says a lot about how genuinely inclusive our culture is.”

Pranjal Garg, SAP Security & GRC Lead

CWN chapters worldwide also participated in locally driven initiatives that fostered connection, well-being, and gratitude. In Spain, employees from the Chemours Asturias office participated in a volunteer initiative at Residencia El Carmen, an elderly care home in Gijón where they engaged with residents, sharing stories and honoring the women who have paved the way for future generations. In Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina, CWN chapters hosted a virtual yoga session to promote mindfulness and well-being in observance of International Women’s Day. Meanwhile, in Belgium, employees celebrated World Compliment Day alongside International Women’s Day by collecting heartfelt messages for women within the organization, fostering a culture of appreciation and belonging. Together, these locally driven initiatives reflected how CWN chapters bring Chemours’ commitment to inclusion and belonging to life across regions and cultures.

While Women’s History Month provides a moment to reflect and connect, these initiatives underscore how embedding respect, inclusion, and equity into an organization’s culture strengthens teams, expands perspectives, and supports performance.

Learn more about Chemours at www.chemours.com.

This Women’s Month, Jacqui Seargeant, Global Heritage Manager at Bacardi, was inducted into the Keepers of the Quaich, one of Scotch whisky’s most prestigious and enduring societies. The honor recognizes individuals who have shown outstanding commitment to the preservation, promotion, and advancement of Scotch whisky around the world.

Founded in 1988, the Keepers of the Quaich celebrates those who act as true custodians of whisky heritage—sharing knowledge, protecting craftsmanship, and championing the cultural significance of Scotland’s national spirit. Becoming a Keeper of the Quaich is a moment I will treasure.”

With each new woman inducted into the Keepers of the Quaich, the society continues to reflect the evolving face of the global whisky community—one that honors its heritage and creates space for more women to shape the future of whisky.

Discover more about Jacqui and her unique role protecting the DEWAR’S legacy.

AEG Partners With Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles to Inspire the Next Generation of Leaders

As part of its commitment to advancing gender equity and leadership development, AEG partnered with the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles to host "A Night of Mentorship." This immersive day-long experience was designed to connect aspiring young talent with established women leaders from across AEG’s business divisions.

On March 19, 2026, AEG mentors engaged with 30 local middle and high school Girl Scouts for an evening focused on confidence-building and career exploration. Through intentional dialogue and hands-on discussions, participants explored diverse career paths across sports, entertainment, and business, gaining firsthand insights into the power of resilience and community.

The program underscored the vital role mentorship plays in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

"This experience created a supportive environment where Girl Scouts actively practiced public speaking, asking questions, and built confidence when engaging with adults. Just as impactful, our mentors left with deeper insight from youth perspectives - sparking more thoughtful consideration around how we design and deliver sports, concerts, and live events.” said Jenna Horton, Co-Chair at Women@AEG and Director of Soccer Programming & Operations at LA Galaxy.

“We believe representation and mentorship are critical to helping young women see what’s possible,” said Jamie Nguyen, Co-Chair at Women@AEG and Tour Coordinator at Concerts West. “By creating space for honest dialogue and connection, we can support the next generation of leaders as they begin to envision their future.”

In addition to career development, the experience incorporated environmental stewardship components by educating scouts on how individual actions, like reducing single-use plastics, contribute to global sustainability. To cap the day off, the group moved to Crypto.com Arena, where the Girl Scouts and mentors came together to cheer on the LA Kings during a high-energy match against the Philadelphia Flyers.

By investing in mentorship and leadership development, AEG continues to leverage its platform to empower young women to lead with purpose, confidence, and vision.

DP World Advances Gender Equity in Peru With “Women Moving the World” Panel

At DP World in Peru, progress toward gender equity is no longer a future goal — it’s already measurable.

Over the past five years, the company has increased women’s participation in operational roles by 367% and grown female representation in leadership positions by 41% — a significant shift in an industry historically defined by low female participation.

Building on that momentum, DP World recently hosted “Women Moving the World,” a panel discussion that brought together leading voices from across Peru’s trade, shipping, and agriculture sectors to explore how greater inclusion can strengthen the industry and drive national development.

A platform for leadership and real-world perspectives

The event convened prominent leaders whose careers reflect the evolving role of women in global trade:

Teresa Mera Gómez, former Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism for Peru, offered a policy and economic lens on how diversity supports more competitive and resilient trade ecosystems.

Gloria Barandiarán, Deputy General Manager at Evergreen Shipping Agency (Peru) S.A.C., shared insights from the shipping sector and the importance of representation across maritime operations.

Roxana Nolte, Commercial Manager at Agrícola Don Ricardo — one of Peru’s leading agricultural export companies — provided a perspective from the agribusiness sector, highlighting how a diverse logistics workforce enables Peru’s global competitiveness.

Together, the panelists explored how creating more inclusive workplaces is not only a social priority, but also a business imperative — one that drives innovation, improves decision-making, and strengthens supply chains.

Turning momentum into measurable impact

While the panel underscored how far the industry has come, it also highlighted the importance of sustaining that progress through action.

At DP World in Peru, gender equity efforts are part of a broader sustainability strategy that connects workforce development, environmental innovation, and community impact. In 2025 alone, the team:

Inaugurated six digital classrooms at the Virgen de la Inmaculada Concepción school, benefiting more than 300 students and contributing to over 3,000 students reached through education initiatives to date.

Received the Best Good Practices in Social Sustainability award from the Sustainability Observatory of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for its Emprende DP World program — an initiative that has supported the growth of more than 300 micro and small enterprises (MYPES) in Callao, including more than 50 entrepreneurs.

Reduced its carbon footprint in Peru by approximately 22%, cutting emissions from nearly 13,000 tons of CO₂ to a projected 9,700 tons by the end of 2025 — advancing toward its broader goal of a 90% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions.

A stronger industry through inclusion

As Peru continues to strengthen its position in global trade, the path forward is increasingly clear: diversity and sustainability are not separate priorities — they are mutually reinforcing drivers of long-term growth.

Through initiatives like “Women Moving the World” — and tangible progress across education, entrepreneurship, and decarbonization — DP World is helping shape a more inclusive, more resilient logistics sector across Peru. One where opportunity expands alongside impact, and where a more diverse industry is ultimately a stronger one.

Learn more about how DP World is advancing gender equity and sustainability across Latin America.

A New Generation of Women Is Shaping DP World’s Port Operations in Chile

At DP World’s terminal at the Port of San Antonio in Chile, thousands of containers move through the yard each day — lifted, stacked, and prepared for the next step in their global journey. Behind the controls of one of the terminal’s towering rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes is Carolina García, an operator whose career reflects a broader shift underway across the maritime industry.

For decades, many operational roles in ports and logistics — particularly those involving heavy machinery — were overwhelmingly male-dominated. Today, that reality is changing across Latin America as more women enter technical and operational positions across the sector.

Carolina is part of that new generation helping reshape the industry.

Breaking Barriers in Port Operations

Operating rubber-tired gantry cranes requires focus, precision, and an unwavering commitment to safety — essential qualities in a modern port environment where efficiency and reliability keep supply chains moving.

At DP World in Chile, women are increasingly taking on roles across port operations, from crane operators and technicians to supervisors and managers. Carolina’s presence behind the controls of an RTG crane reflects the growing opportunities available to women entering the logistics and maritime sectors.

For many women considering careers in logistics, visibility matters. Seeing women succeed in operational roles helps demonstrate that the industry is evolving — and that talent, skill, and dedication are what ultimately define success.

Gender Equity Across Latin America

Carolina’s story reflects a wider transformation underway across DP World’s operations in Latin America.

In Brazil, female representation at DP World’s Santos terminal has increased dramatically over the past decade, with the female workforce growing more than 228% since 2013 and more women entering technical and equipment-operator roles historically dominated by men.

In Ecuador, one in five workers at DP World's Posorja port terminal are women — an important milestone in expanding gender representation in the maritime sector. The terminal continues to build on that progress through training, sustainability, and community initiatives that empower women to advance in the maritime and logistics sector.

These regional efforts reflect a broader commitment across DP World’s global network to expand opportunities for women through mentorship programs, technical training, and leadership development initiatives designed to support women at every stage of their careers.

Inspiring the Next Generation

For García, the most important part of her journey may be the message it sends to other women considering careers in logistics.

Every container lifted at the San Antonio terminal helps move global trade forward. But stories like Carolina’s show something equally important — that the future of ports and logistics will be shaped by a workforce that is more diverse, inclusive, and reflective of the communities it serves.

And across DP World’s operations in Latin America and beyond, more women are stepping into those roles every day.

Watch the above video to learn more about Carolina’s experience breaking barriers at DP World.

Learn more about DP World’s commitment to sustainability and gender equity across Latin America.

Direct selling requires an initial ‘yes’ when there are no corresponding promises of success attached to that decision – to me, that is courage. Similarly, the same people who say ‘yes’ to a direct selling opportunity also tend to be the people who persevere, change, and grow in response to the unique challenges that accompany running a small business – to me, that is grit. I am inspired by these small business owners and feel privileged to protect their current and future opportunities. “

Learn more.

<img src="https://3blaws.s3.amazonaws.com/inline-images/Image%209%20-%20Michelle%20Erbeyi_Mary%20Kay_3.17.26.jpg" data-entity-uuid="5d94cb63-1f58-46ba-a946-73401d22377e" data-entity-type="file" alt="Michelle Erbeyi, Manager of Public Affairs at Mary Kay.
Southwire Announces Placement on America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women List

Southwire announced on March 10 that it has been named one of Newsweek’s “Greatest Workplaces for Women” for the second year in a row, reinforcing the company’s ongoing commitment to building an inclusive workplace where all team members can grow and thrive.

The recognition was shared during Southwire’s Women’s Day event, held at the University of West Georgia, where the company gathered to celebrate Women’s History Month, honor the contributions of women throughout the organization and recognize progress and opportunity across the manufacturing industry.

I personally am very optimistic for the future. When you look at the number of role models who refused to accept status quo and pushed the boundaries over the last 20 years and the overflowing ambition in current generation of female professionals and leaders, I am very confident that soon every day will become women’s day in this industry,” said Ganesh Ramaswamy, Southwire’s president and CEO.

Newsweek announced the “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women 2026” rankings in February, recognizing companies that foster strong and supportive environments for women.

The recognition is not application-based but instead determined through an independent, data-driven study that analyzed feedback from more than 89,000 women employees and 1.1 million company reviews. The recognition also factors in more than 37 million data points across 120 key workplace performance indicators related to areas such as leadership representation, workplace equity and employee satisfaction.

“This recognition belongs to our team members. It reflects that at Southwire, success is not defined by what we achieve, but by how we show up for one another and how we do the work together every day,” said Cara Herzog, VP, Inclusion & Interim Strategic Talent. “Behind every metric is a human story. It is a leader who listened, a team member who spoke up, a moment where people leaned in and inclusion moved from intention to action. That is what this recognition represents, and it is something our entire organization should be proud of.”

A companywide livestream connected people across various Southwire locations, resulting in 900-plus Southwire team members, customers and nonprofit partners registering to join the event either virtually or in person.

This year’s Women’s History Month theme, “Leading Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future,” guided the conversations during the event as team members, representatives from UWG, Atlanta Braves, the American Heart Association and many more explored topics centered on development, wellbeing and continuous learning.

The event also featured sessions covering a range of subjects, including leadership development, women’s health, customer engagement and financial wellness. Each discussion was designed to equip team members with practical insights while fostering open dialogue about the role women play in shaping a more sustainable future for Southwire and the communities it serves.

Events like this help people feel included. It gives us a space for networking and a space for being a part of something bigger. Southwire is much more than a wire and cable company. We’re making a difference,” said Krystle Wright, Manager of Pricing and Internal Engagement and Giving Back subcommittee chair for Women’s Network.

Designed to inspire and engage, raise awareness and drive long-term impact, the event highlighted Southwire’s continued commitment to inclusion and its essential connection to the company’s long-term sustainability strategy.

As a certified sustainable event, the program also reflected Southwire’s dedication to operating responsibly while investing in its people.

Newsweek’s recognition underscores Southwire’s ongoing efforts to cultivate a workplace culture where everyone has the opportunity to lead, grow and make an impact.

To learn more about Southwire's inclusion initiatives, visit https://southwire.com/inclusion.

Inclusion in Action – Celebrating International Women’s Day at Lenovo

International Women’s Day is always a moment to celebrate progress, but it is also a time to reflect on the responsibility we carry as a global tech powerhouse to continue building workplaces where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Lenovo has recently been recognized by Forbes as one of the World’s Best Employers 2025, and among the World’s Top Companies for Women 2025. Based on an independent global survey, this recognition captures the voices of thousands of employees across companies and industries to evaluate where people feel supported, valued, and empowered to grow. For Lenovo, this recognition is meaningful not only as an achievement, but as validation of the inclusive culture we are continuously working to strengthen.

Lenovo has been building its culture of inclusion for nearly two decades. It is essential to how we innovate, collaborate, and lead. Operating in 180 markets, we serve customers across different cultures and industries. To do so effectively, our workforce must reflect the variety of communities we serve. Different perspectives strengthen our decisions, accelerate innovation, and enable us to deliver our vision of Smarter Technology for All.

Being recognized by Forbes as a top company for women reinforces that Lenovo is a place where women grow, lead, and succeed. This is supported by inclusive policies and programs designed to expand representation and opportunity across all levels of the organization. It reflects our ’We Are Lenovo’ values-driven culture of entrepreneurship, where employees feel empowered, supported, and inspired to do their best work.

One of the strongest indicators of our inclusive culture is employee engagement. Lenovo global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Communities of Practice (COPs) connect thousands of employees around shared identities, experiences, and aspirations. Today, we have 46 global inclusion groups with women in leading roles, supporting pillars such as gender, people with disabilities, racial/ethnic backgrounds, and LGBTIQ+. These groups foster mentorship, encourage open dialogue, and create meaningful development opportunities for all Lenovo employees.

Our commitment to inclusion is also closely connected to our broader vision of Smarter Technology for All. Just as we strive to make technology smarter and more accessible for our customers, we aim to create a workplace where opportunity is accessible to all our employees.

Forbes’ recognition validates the progress we have made, but it is not the finish line. Building an inclusive workplace is a continuous journey that requires listening, learning, and evolving.

As we celebrate International Women’s Day 2026, let’s recognize and thank all the women at Lenovo who drive innovation, lead with purpose, and help shape a more inclusive future for our company and our communities. Follow @WeAreLenovo on Instagram this month to discover some of their stories.

Happy International Women’s Day!

DP World Expands Opportunities for Women Across Port and Logistics Operations in Brazil

DP World is expanding opportunities for women across its port and logistics operations in Brazil. The company’s terminal at the Port of Santos has seen female representation increase by approximately 228% since 2013, rising from 95 employees to 312 today, including 36 women in leadership roles.

More than half of the female workforce now holds operational positions, with over 100 women operating heavy port equipment — roles historically dominated by men. The terminal appointed its first female quay crane operator in 2021 and first female wharf operator in 2022, marking key milestones for women in port operations. In 2025 alone, more than 110 hours of specialized training were dedicated to preparing women for technical roles at the terminal.

Fabio Siccherino, CEO of DP World in Brazil, said: “At DP World, building a diverse workforce isn’t just the right thing to do — it strengthens our business. By expanding opportunities for women across operational, technical, and leadership roles, we are bringing new perspectives into our terminals and logistics operations, helping drive innovation, improve performance, and support the continued growth of global trade.”

Expanding Women’s Participation Across Logistics

The company’s gender equity efforts extend beyond port operations into its broader logistics network.

Across four contract logistics facilities in the state of São Paulo, women represent 42% of the workforce, with 11 holding leadership positions. Women account for 46% of employees across DP World’s six freight forwarding offices in Brazil.

Career development programs such as MentorHer, DP World’s global mentorship initiative, connect experienced leaders with high-potential female employees, strengthening leadership capabilities, and expanding growth opportunities across the organization.

Training Programs Opening New Career Pathways

This March, DP World is supporting two initiatives in Brazil designed to help women enter the port workforce:

Emprega Mulher

In partnership with the City of Santos, the Emprega Mulher program offers a 12-hour container inspection training course – ending in official certification – at Casa da Mulher de Santos, delivered by the Ceconport training center.

Participants will also visit DP World's Santos terminal as part of the program, with the first group of 20 participants beginning training on March 24.

Elas na Direção

DP World has also launched Elas na Direção, a dedicated training program designed to prepare women to operate Internal Terminal Vehicles (ITVs) used in container handling.

The program will select eight participants for a 40-hour training course combining technical instruction, simulator-based learning, and hands-on operational training led by DP World instructors.

Women Leading Across the Business

Across DP World’s Brazil operations, women are advancing into leadership, operational, and technical roles — demonstrating how training, mentorship, and career development are expanding opportunities across the logistics and port sectors.

Strengthening freight forwarding strategy: Alexandra dos Santos Oliveira joined DP World in 2025 to lead the Pricing team of the company’s freight forwarding expansion in Brazil, bringing nearly 25 years of experience in logistics, air, and ocean operations.

Leading infrastructure and maintenance operations: Rosivane Soares Cândido Meneguini serves as maintenance coordinator in DP World Brazil’s Ports & Terminals division, bringing experience from major infrastructure projects including the renovation of Maracanã Stadium and Grêmio Arena.

Advancing through internal career development: Débora Silva joined DP World’s Contract Logistics division in 2017 as an operator and progressed to operational assistant through continuous training and professional development.

Pioneering environmental stewardship: Biologist Ana Paula Schettino was the first woman to work at the Santos terminal and has led environmental management and conservation initiatives there for more than two decades.

Breaking barriers in frontline port operations: Roberta Costa joined DP World in 2019 as a truck operator and progressed to become a rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) crane operator and certified instructor through the company’s Advanced Training for Instructors and Assessors Program.

Setting a milestone in port operations: Fabiana do Nascimento Almeida is the first and only female quay crane operator at both DP World’s Santos terminal and the Port of Santos overall.

Building a More Inclusive Future for Logistics

By investing in workforce training, mentorship, and career development, DP World is helping build a more inclusive logistics sector while strengthening the industry’s future talent pipeline.

As global trade continues to evolve, the company’s focus on diversity and opportunity is helping ensure the next generation of logistics professionals reflects the communities and economies it serves.

Learn more about DP World’s commitment to gender equity.

Year of the Woman Farmer Call for Action: Build Supply Chains That Work for Everyone

WASHINGTON, March 2, 2026 /3BL/ - Women feed the world, yet discrimination against women in farming is still a stark reality. They typically earn less, have limited access to financing and miss out on education and training.

Despite producing an estimated 60-80% of the world’s food, women in agricultural communities face power imbalances that hold them back. This is especially true for those living in tropical growing zones around the equator where economies rely on small-scale, or smallholder, commodity production. They often:

Don’t have control of the money they earn

Don’t own land or crops

Have less access to education, training, or supplies

Are discriminated against when applying for credit

When we invest in women, everyone wins. That’s why Fairtrade America is joining the U.N. Food and Agriculture’s global campaign, the International Year of the Woman Farmer, to help spotlight the essential roles women play in food systems – from production to trade – that often go unrecognized.

Fairtrade is celebrating 15 woman farmers who are key agents of change in their communities and calling on American businesses to partner with Fairtrade America so that more woman farmers can benefit from fairer international trade partnerships.

Meet the Farmers

Agnes Senesie grows cocoa in Sierra Leone

Assata Doumbia grows cocoa in Côte d’Ivoire

Eugénie Lago grows cocoa in Côte d’Ivoire

Sarah Larweh grows cocoa in Ghana

Carlixta Contreras Martínez grows cocoa in the Dominican Republic

Ibu Rahmah grows coffee in Indonesia

Natividad Vallejos grows coffee in Peru

Salamatu Katta grows cocoa in Sierra Leone

Joselinda Manueles grows coffee in Honduras

Rajana Maurya grows organic Tulsi (Holy Basil) in India

Rosine Bekoin grows cocoa in Côte d’Ivoire

Mariana Cobos grows bananas in Ecuador

Aminata Sannoh grows cocoa in Sierra Leone

Marie Ronette Botramisy grows organic vanilla in Madagascar

Carmen Mueses grows cocoa in the Dominican Republic

These inspiring women care for their land, run their businesses, are mothers or matriarchs, and take on many other responsibilities in service of their communities. About half of them currently serve—or have served—in leadership roles within their cooperatives. They sit on boards, lead women’s associations, and some have even founded cooperatives or served as presidents. Their stories show the strength and resilience of women farmers around the world.

International trade partnerships must be rooted in mutual respect, instead of extraction and exploitation. Fairtrade brings together businesses, shoppers, farmers, and workers to bring fairer partnerships to reality and build supply chains that work for everyone. Fairtrade addresses exploitation and gender inequities in supply chains through:

Fairtrade Standards

Our standards actively prevent gender-based discrimination and promote women’s participation in leadership and decision-making. When women have a voice, they help shape their own futures.

Women's School of Leadership

Through our Women’s School of Leadership, we support female leaders in producer organizations to strengthen skills in business, negotiation, and finance, building confidence and economic independence.

Fairtrade Premium

Many Fairtrade Premium projects directly benefit women, improving economic opportunities and influencing decision-making structures within producer organizations.

If you represent a U.S.-based business that is interested in joining the global movement towards fairer, more equitable trade by sourcing from Fairtrade farmers, including the admirable women farmers listed above, please reach out to questions@fairtradeamerica.org or fill out our “Get Started” form.

###

Editors Notes

The woman farmers listed above were also recognized as part of Fairtrade America’s annual Fairtrade Month campaign, which has been implemented every October since 2020.

Photos and videos are available upon request.

About Fairtrade America

Fairtrade America works to rebalance trade, making it a system rooted in partnership and mutual respect rather than exploitation.
How We Build Trust Through Our Work and Culture

Trust isn’t created by software alone. It’s shaped by the values, teams and decisions behind it.

At Gen, responsibility isn’t separate from our work in security and privacy; it’s foundational to it. How we govern our business, support our people and invest in communities directly influences the trust people place in our products. In 2025, that approach was recognized across multiple fronts, reflecting a consistent focus on responsibility, impact and long-term value.

Responsibility is built into how we operate

Gen was named to Newsweek’s ranking of America’s Most Responsible Companies for the third year in a row, a recognition based on performance across more than 30 indicators evaluated by Newsweek and its research partners, spanning environmental impact, social responsibility and governance practices.

This recognition reflects how responsibility is embedded into our operating model, not treated as a parallel initiative, but as part of how decisions are made and progress is measured.

Investing in the people behind the products

Trust is also built from the inside out.

In 2025, Newsweek recognized Gen across eight of its America’s Greatest Workplaces lists, including:

Parents & Families

Mental Well-being

America’s Greatest Workplaces 2025

These rankings reflect sustained investment in employee experience, engagement and flexibility, creating an environment where people can do meaningful work and grow over time.

Advancing women in cybersecurity

Building a safer digital future requires broader participation, especially in an industry where representation has historically lagged.

Gen was named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women, recognizing efforts to support advancement and professional development through programs such as:

WONDER, Employee Resource Group for women

Geniverse, which provides ongoing development opportunities across global teams

These internal efforts are reinforced by external partnerships focused on expanding access to cybersecurity education and careers, including Czechitas, Women4Cyber and the Nasscom Foundation in Europe and India.

Extending impact beyond Gen

Our responsibility work extends beyond our own teams. Our ongoing partnership with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) on Surf Smart 2.0 was recognized at the Third Sector Awards in the Big Impact category. To date, the program has reached more than 850,000 young women and girls across 100 countries, providing practical digital safety skills and supporting young leaders working to make the internet a safer place.

One standard, everywhere

Across governance, workplace culture and community impact, the throughline is consistency.

The same principle that guides how we build security products also guides how we operate as a company: long-term trust is earned through care, accountability and real-world impact.

To learn more about these initiatives and our broader approach to responsibility, explore our latest Social Impact Report.

The Beauty of AI and Why AI Needs More Women

Originally published on newsroom.marykay.com

While women remain underrepresented in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and tech workforce, their participation is considered crucial for developing the right AI for tomorrow. At Mary Kay, the #1 direct selling brand of skincare and color cosmetics in the world[1], women are shaping the future of beauty by embracing AI and technology.

Enters Ada McLaughlin, Senior Product Manager with the Digital Business Solutions team at Mary Kay. Ada is passionate about building inclusive, tech-driven experiences that blend creativity, science, and purpose, and has expertise in global product innovation, user-centered design, and emerging technologies. She has recently spoken at various high profile tech events such as the Augmented Enterprise Summit in Dallas and on Euromonitor’s panel titled “Future of Retail: Navigating E-Commerce Disruption” held in Chicago. Let’s chat with Ada about Mary Kay’s immersive beauty tech solutions and the critical importance and competitive advantage of having more women in AI-driven careers, because the future of AI needs more women.

Ada McLaughlin, Senior Product Manager with the Digital Business Solutions team at Mary Kay (Photo Courtesy: Ada McLaughlin).

Ada, tell us a bit about yourself. Who is the real woman behind the tech solutions?

I have been with Mary Kay for almost 15 years now and before that I was in the early (and cool) years of Facebook in California. I was born and raised in Colombia, I also spent some time working in Brazil, so I speak Spanish, and a bit of Portuguese. But most importantly, I’m passionate about equipping Mary Kay’s Independent Beauty Consultants with tools that empower them to run a thriving business in the digital world and enhance our consumers’ experience. And when I’m not working with tech, I love to read, I am into the CB Strike series, I’m also a mom to Mia, who is six, and a cat-mom to Mac.

How does AI and Tech “fit” with the Beauty Consultants selling Mary Kay products around the world?

Mary Kay’s mission is to enrich women’s lives – today, that means enriching their digital lives as well! We are always evolving in how we support our Independent Beauty Consultants, including through significant tech advancements in AI and AR. The ultimate goal is to make it easier for our beauty consultants to run their businesses and give them more ways to connect with and serve their customers.

Digital business success is indeed a combination of the irreplaceable human touch with technology. I like to say that technology is an “amplifier” - the perfect ally for our Beauty Consultants who are delivering a best-in-class experience as personal beauty advisors. It’s “she” who helps us bring credibility, education, and the emotional connection that drives consumer loyalty. Spoiler alert, Mary Kay just ranked #2 on Forbes Best Customer Service list for 2026!

One of Mary Kay’s most recent innovations, the “AI Foundation Finder” sits at the intersection of beauty and technology. What’s the story?

A first in the direct selling industry, this AI Foundation Finder uses advanced artificial intelligence to scan a customer’s face on their mobile phone and provide personalized foundation shade recommendations in just seconds allowing the precise detection of 151 facial feature points. What sets this AI-powered tool apart is that it is informed by a scientifically developed scale offering an inclusive and nuanced understanding of human skin tones.

We made a deliberate choice to launch the Foundation Finder as a web-based tool, not a separate app to enhance our e-commerce experience, and support our Beauty Consultants’ personal websites.

Our Foundation Finder is a perfect example of how technology can help our Independent Beauty Consultants do what they do best, “sell”, and allow new consumers to discover Mary Kay products through a personalized and immediate experience.

How can AI and AR bridge the gap between digital recommendations and the sensory aspects of beauty shopping to build consumer trust?

Regarding our color product portfolio, AI + AR enable Mary Kay to recreate that “counter” experience or the “Mary Kay in-person parties or consultations” digitally. Tools like the AI Foundation Finder or the MirrorMe™ Virtual Try-On app let customers find their best matches and try shades on their own faces in seconds — turning digital shopping into an interactive, confidence-building moment.

We monitor satisfaction, purchase intent, and shade accuracy by market to keep refining results. We see high engagement with the tools in “time spent – over 5 minutes each time!”; “scans – over 100 thousand in just a few weeks!”; and millions of try-ons.

This combination of tech, data, and human guidance gives women the confidence to click “buy,” even without touching the product first.

At Mary Kay, we believe technology should make beauty more personal, immersive, and empowering.

Let’s talk about empowerment and the “Women in Technology Group” at Mary Kay?

I am a firm believer women bring unique perspectives to the AI world and confident in the future rise of women in the Tech world. To help enable that change, I am a proud member and co-lead of the Mary Kay Women in Technology Group. Established back in 2011, this is a group of passionate women who are committed to advancing women’s equality in the tech industry.

We believe that technology can empower women to achieve their personal and professional goals at Mary Kay and beyond, and we want to inspire more women to join us in this exciting field. We do this by providing opportunities for mentorship, which a crucial lever to help women grow networking, well-being, community outreach, and Mary Kay business knowledge. Through these programs, we aim to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence among our members and partners.

Why do you believe AI should include more women?

If you look at AI development, women’s contributions are essential for creating safer, more ethical, and more equitable AI today and in the future. Beyond the core skills, women tend to approach AI with a collaborative mindset, and a focus on the human impact and user-friendly design which are most needed.

However, there is significant AI usage gap between women and men. A recent global research from the Digital Data Design Institute at Harvard Business School highlights a 25% gap in AI usage between men and women. Rapidly closing what experts identify as the "Gap to Growth" is essential for women's digital advancement at large.

What is your word of inspiration to your daughter and to the Next Generation?

My word of advice to my daughter is: “Take risks, you belong.” And a quote borrowed from Mary Kay Ash: “For every failure, there's an alternative course of action. You just have to find it.
Celebrating Women in Science: How Chemours Champions the Future of STEM

Each year on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the world recognizes the critical role women play in driving innovation, advancing discovery, and strengthening communities. At Chemours, this day is an opportunity to reflect on our ongoing commitment to cultivating an environment where women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) can thrive, lead, and inspire the next generation.

Across our laboratories, manufacturing facilities, offices, and global teams, women at Chemours bring curiosity, expertise, and leadership that move essential industries forward, support local communities, and contribute to building a better world.

This year, we’re honored to spotlight seven colleagues whose journeys illustrate the power of mentorship, perseverance, and possibility in STEM.

Alana Swinton, EHS Senior Specialist

Alana’s career shows how early guidance can unlock technical confidence and purpose. Beyond her day-to-day responsibilities, she champions growth through the Chemours Women’s Network and community volunteering—helping emerging professionals build in-demand skills and pursue meaningful careers in STEM. “Mentors taught me research skills, analytical techniques, and self‑advocacy. Now I help others build confidence, grow their skills, and pursue fulfilling STEM careers.”

Camila Granato Tiezzi, Executive Buyer, LATAM

Inspired by a trailblazing leader early on, Camila learned to step into larger responsibilities. She now advocates for purpose-driven development, encouraging colleagues to invest in self-knowledge, balance, and continuous learning through the Chemours Women’s Network. “A pioneering female leader taught me to be courageous and embrace change. Today, I encourage others to find purpose and pursue a balanced, fulfilling path.”

Dianne Fields, EHS Manager

Dianne was motivated to explore analytics—momentum that culminated in the Alteryx Maveryx Excellence Award for Corporate Sustainability. She now demystifies STEM, showing that data skills and discovery are both accessible and exciting. “A mentor pushed me to learn new analytics tools, which changed my trajectory. Now I work to inspire students to see STEM as full of possibility.”

Jody Sciance, Engineering and Mine Strategy Manager

A chemistry teacher once recognized Jody’s potential and opened new horizons. Building on that encouragement, she guides early‑career professionals to map their paths, navigate challenges, and lead with confidence. “Someone once saw potential in me that I didn’t yet see in myself. I aim to do the same for emerging professionals.”

Julie Johnson, Plant Manager for Chambers Works, Parlin & Elkton

Mentors and supporters have shaped Julie’s leadership at every stage. In return, she invests in the next generation—mentoring, judging science fairs, and being there for others to ask questions and learn from her experiences. “So many people taught and encouraged me. I hope students gain the courage to try new skills and discover lifelong curiosity.”

Rachel Evans, Data Management Senior Consultant

A pivotal conversation helped Rachel reassess her strengths and chart a path in IT. She now champions mentoring to help others navigate transitions, translate strengths into new roles, and take their next step with clarity. “A mentor helped me see how I could contribute in IT—a turning point that has shaped my career. I want others to feel supported to navigate transitions with confidence.”

Stefanie Kopchick, Clean Energy Venture Leader

Stefanie credits leaders who challenged and trusted her—and who modeled courage with compassion. She pays it forward by sharing experience and perspective with people building multidimensional careers in a fast‑changing world. “Because others supported me, I make time to mentor and share experiences that I hope will help others as they navigate their own multidimensional journeys.”

Together, these stories highlight how progress is fueled by diverse perspectives, collective ambition, and the power of mentorship to help open the door for the scientists, engineers, and problem‑solvers who will shape what comes next.

From the frontline to the back office, every Chemours employee knows they are a part of something bigger than themselves and are proud to be a part of making a meaningful difference.
International Day of Women and Girls in Science at Gore Fabrics | Equal Minds, Shared Progress

Each year on February 11, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science underscores the need for equal participation in STEM. Established by the United Nations in 2015, the day calls attention to both the progress made and the work still required to expand opportunities for women and girls in scientific fields.

At Gore Fabrics, we are proud to spotlight three Associates whose unique paths, technical expertise, and personal motivations reflect the spirit of this day. Though their roles span continents and disciplines, Jessica Zhang, Lisa Kaminski, and Anna West share a deep curiosity and a commitment to solving meaningful problems that create value for people, industries, and communities.

In Shenzhen China, Engineering Leader Jessica Zhang brings more than 20 years of experience in science and engineering. To her, being a woman in science means applying empathy, resilience, and meticulous thinking to break down complex challenges and transform them into sustainable solutions. Inspired early on by a desire to understand how things work, she has always been driven by the potential of scientific knowledge to create tangible, future‑shaping impact. Jessica encourages young women to embrace curiosity boldly and unapologetically, reminding them that every problem solved becomes a stepping stone for growth.

From Elk Mills USA, Lisa Kaminski, Digital Ingredient Business Unit IT Leader, has spent 18 years working in STEM and IT. For Lisa, being a woman in science feels natural; her career has long centered on technology and its ability to improve people’s lives. Although her academic background is not in the traditional hard sciences, her interest in STEM allowed her to combine technology and human‑centric problem solving throughout her professional journey. She believes exposure is key: trying different areas, exploring new interests, and discovering what truly fits. At Gore, she values the flexibility to pursue topics that spark curiosity and encourages women and girls to follow what genuinely motivates them.

In Putzbrunn Germany, Anna West, a Comfort Scientist, represents the next generation of scientific talent with 10 years of STEM experience, including five at Gore. To Anna, being a woman in science means applying curiosity and rigor to significant problems while advocating for an environment where more women feel empowered to enter STEM fields. She was drawn to science by a love of asking questions and identifying gaps in knowledge combined with the satisfaction of turning complex topics into clear, accessible solutions. Anna’s advice for aspiring young scientists is simple: be brave, ask questions, embrace mistakes, and value the power of diverse perspectives in moving scientific discovery forward.

Together, Jessica, Lisa, and Anna illustrate how different backgrounds, personal motivations, and individual strengths all contribute to the dynamic and essential presence of women in STEM. Their journeys reinforce the importance of representation and also the impact that passionate, curious, and courageous women can have across the scientific landscape.

Learn more about our culture: Our Culture | Gore

About Gore Fabrics
Gore revolutionized the outerwear industry with waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX Fabric more than 45 years ago and remains a leading innovator of performance apparel.
