LAFAYETTE HILL, PA., May 2, 2013 /3BL Media/– Today William Jeanes Memorial Library and Nicholas and Athena Karabots Center for Learning received new play and exercise equipment through Global Home Improvement’s participation in a unique advertising program offered by CBS EcoMedia, which connects advertisers with worthy nonprofit partners requesting financial support for their critically needed community projects.

Today William Jeanes Memorial Library hosted a ribbon cutting and community celebration for the new play structure attended by happy toddlers, their parents and caregivers, along with Adam Parnes, Marketing Manager for Global Home Improvement, Inc., Mary Romance, Interim Director, William Jeanes Memorial Library, and Stan Finegold, President of the Library board of directors. Also serving on the Library board are Vice President Carole Lukoff, Treasurer Nancy Louise Miller, Secretary Jacy Toll, Members Hilda L. Cohen, Dara Nasatir, and Sydelle Zove, immediate past-President.

The new toddler structure provides the community with a safe new place for two- to five-year-old children to play and get the physical activity so vital to establishing good health habits.  Not only does the outdoor play structure provide a play area for children when their parents visit the library, it also extends family library time.  By being engaged at an early age, children get the added opportunity to grow within the library environment through books, regularly scheduled story times and other learning activities.

“Installing this wonderful new toddler play structure was inspired by community input, but it only became a reality when Global Home Improvement stepped-up to cover the cost,” said Library Board President Stan Finegold.. “Partnering with the community and local business is one more way to enhance the public value of the library”

The toddler play structure is expected to help young children learn important social lessons about sharing and taking turns as well as to give them obesity-fighting fitness opportunities.

“We are honored to work with William Jeanes Library and Nicholas and Athena Karabots Center for Learning in providing a brand new play ground for young children ages three-to-eight,” said Adam Parnes, Marketing Manager for Global Home Improvement, Inc.  “This project combines two of our favorite pastimes; education and fun. We hope that this will add an additional element of interaction for young kids and their parents who utilize the library's phenomenal resources and activities programs."

“The William Jeanes Library and Nicholas and Athena Karabots Center for Learning is such an integral part of the Whitemarsh Township community, and that's exactly the way it should be," said Paul Polizzotto, President and Founder of CBS EcoMedia. "We want to encourage folks of all ages to use the many resources available here. EcoMedia salutes our advertising partner, Global Home Improvement; the support they've provided through participating in our transformative program has made the beautiful new toddler play facility at the library a reality. Now families have another reason to make William Jeanes a destination."
