CAMPAIGN: Announcing 3BL TV

CONTENT: Press Release

(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) Northampton, MA - February 16, 2010 - 3BL Media, the experts in corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability and cause marketing communications, today announced that volunteerism expert Chris Jarvis will join their editorial team for the launch of 3BL TV (Triple Bottom Line TV), a Web video channel scheduled to debut this month.

Chris is a keynote speaker, consultant, and author of the “Realizing Your Worth” blog that focuses on CSR and corporate volunteering. In working with businesses and non-profits to create outstanding volunteer programs, Chris presents examples and practices that create value for companies while providing important benefits to the community. Recently, Chris and his partner Angela Parker, acted as advisers in the writing of “Mapping Success in Employee Volunteering: The Drivers of Effectiveness for Employee Volunteering and Giving Programs and Fortune 500 Performance”; produced by Boston College and authored by Bea Boccalandro. They also contribute as expert writers on several websites including Volunteer Canada’s CorporateVolunteering.ca, Businessfightspoverty.com and 3blmedia.com. They are presently collaborating on a book which will be a comprehensive guide to Corporate Social Responsibility for HR managers.
The segments being produced by Chris for 3BL TV will focus on discussions of current trends, issues, and will offer in-depth case studies that ask hard questions about what's being accomplished through corporate volunteering and community engagement. Is the world actually any different after the big events? Or is it just a fad? How do non-profits feel about it? Is the community appreciative? Do they even know? And, if they know, do they care?  As well, Chris will spotlight best practices to ensure that when businesses engage their communities, good things result.
“As 3BL Media is quickly becoming the standard for comprehensive CSR coverage throughout the world, I’m excited to be included in their new 3BL TV media venture,” said Chris Jarvis. “I expect this to be a CSR game changer, leading to even better performance, effective practices and honest transparency.”
“Chris is the acknowledged expert on corporate volunteerism and community engagement,” said John Howell, Editorial Director, 3BL Media. “His views on corporate social responsibility from that angle add an important dimension to 3BL TV’s coverage of all things CSR.”
