A veterans' request for Veterans Day: Hire a hero | Opinion

Following my years of service, I transitioned to an entry-level position in the telecommunications industry. Despite not having direct experience, the skills I learned in the military certainly helped get me where I am today. But I can tell you that it wasn’t always an easy transition. Veterans entering corporate America from the military need and deserve additional support to help them through.

That’s why I am so proud to be part of a company with a longstanding commitment to the military community. Comcast does not just talk the talk; they walk the walk. It’s not just about hiring, though Comcast has committed to hiring thousands of members of the military community, it’s about valuing and empowering veterans to thrive. That goes not only for those who served but military spouses too.
