Union Pacific's Eric Butler Recognized by 'Black Enterprise' As One of Corporate America's Most Powerful Executives

Black Enterprise magazine named Union Pacific's Eric Butler one of its 100 Most Powerful Executives in Corporate America in the magazine's September edition. Butler is Union Pacific's executive vice president – Marketing and Sales.

The magazine selects its top executives from publicly traded or international companies. Candidates must be among the highest ranking executives within his or her corporation and must manage national or global business.

Butler is responsible for Union Pacific's six major business units: agriculture, automobiles, chemicals, coal, industrial products and intermodal. Collectively, the business units accounted for freight revenue of approximately $18.5 billion in 2011. Butler also oversees the railroad's National Customer Service Center.
