Tulsa Resident Jo Bright Honored with 2013 “Maytag® Dependable Leader” Award

Award recognizes Boys & Girls Club professionals and volunteers who exemplify dependability with $20,000 grant for their local club

Tulsa, OK, July 30, 2013 /3BL Media/ – The Maytag® brand and Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) announced today that Jo Bright has been named a “2013 Maytag Dependable Leader” in acknowledgment for her dedication to keeping youth on the path to achieving great futures. The Maytag Dependable Leader Award recognizes club professionals and volunteers who are committed to making a difference in the lives of youth by being dependable and exceptional role models.

Jo Bright was selected as one of 25 recipients to receive the distinction and a $20,000 financial award to help further extend her respective focus with The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Tulsa.

Jo Bright intends to use the one-time grant to support her Clubs’ efforts in advancing as part of the National Youth Outcomes Initiative, which will allow her organization to continue dependably serving youth. A portion of the funding will also go toward a Club initiative of her choosing that will positively impact Tulsa Club kids every day.
