The more you give, the more you receive. For those who have time, talent or treasure to share with others, it is a rich reward. More than two dozen TransCanada employees from the Houston and Galleria offices in Texas experienced this first hand as they participated in food drives sponsored by the Houston Food Bank.

Two food drives were organized by TransCanda’s Houston Community Action Team, which chose to focus on hunger because the need is so great. The Houston Food Bank estimates one in four local children live at or below the poverty level.

“The Community Action Team reviews numerous sponsorship opportunities. In my eyes, the Houston Food Bank provides a much-needed resource for so many people and makes a difference every day in the lives of so many,” says Scott Willborn, a senior human resources consultant with TransCanada.
