16 of the best national and international surfers joined Amnesty International’s BRAVE campaign and autographed a shortboard that is being auctioned at eSolidar. The amount raised will help the human rights’ organization to make the world fairer and freer.

October 24, 2017 /3BL Media/  - The biggest names in international surfing are supporting Amnesty International Portugal and autographed the BRAVE shortboard for a charity auction taking place at eSolidar, an online philanthropic platform that helps raise money for social causes. Gabriel Medina, Filipe Toledo, Frederico Morais (Kikas), John John Florence, Kanoa Igarashi, Zé Ferreira, and Adriano de Souza are some of the 16 surfers who joined this cause and are standing up for human rights.

Only the bravest can handle rough waves, just as only those who are truly BRAVE have the determination and strength necessary to be defenders of human rights around the world.

Reports show that in 2017 alone, at least 312 defenders of human rights were killed, 31 more than in 2016. Many other activists, students, journalists, teachers, doctors, farmers were arrested, threatened or tortured.

Amnesty International is a non-governmental organization working to ensure that all people in the world have access to human rights and that we are all truly equal. This global movement has more than 7 million people over 150 countries and territories who campaign to end abuses of human rights.

The BRAVE shortboard charity auction is available at bit.ly/leilaoamnistia

It began on Friday, October the 19th and it will end on December 15th, 2018.
