In March 2018 30 professionals from across Tetra Tech attended their first session of Tetra Tech’s annual Leadership Academy in Arlington, Virginia. This year’s Leadership Academy includes future leaders from Tetra Tech’s operations in the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil, and Chile.

Operational leaders from around the world nominate their top Tetra Tech employees for the Leadership Academy, with the final 30 participants selected by Tetra Tech CEO Dan Batrack. Participants work with top leaders from Tetra Tech’s global operations; interact with executive management; expand their knowledge of the company; and focus on operational, financial, and interpersonal skills.

“The nominations we received this year were very impressive,” said CEO Dan Batrack. “This year’s class is the most geographically and technically diverse since we launched the Leadership Academy, with participants representing disciplines such as geophysics, mechanical engineering, and energy analytics.”

The Leadership Academy consists of three modules led by Tetra Tech executives throughout the calendar year, with an emphasis on performance, strategy, and our people. Modules are tailored to the company’s business model, focusing on key elements of leadership, including financial and risk management, contract terms and conditions, strategic growth plans, business development, and human resources. The modules are structured to aid participants in understanding corporate structure and provide critical knowledge for our company’s future leaders.

Following program completion, alumni are tasked with special assignments, participate in corporate initiatives, and collaborate on strategic pursuits. Nearly 150 Tetra Tech employees from across the company have completed this year-long program since its inception in 2013.
