Domtar, widely recognized as the leader in sustainable forestry practices within its industry, was tapped by PR News in March as producer of the best CSR/sustainability report of 2015.  The company used video, infographics, blog posts, press releases and other digital assets to drive interest in the report for months.

“Domtar's 2015 Sustainability Report, ‘Our world, connected,’ is a refreshing change from typical sustainability reports,” wrote PR News. “This report was shaped by extensive interviews with customers, non-governmental organizations, academia and other sustainability thought leaders on ways Domtar could make its sustainability reporting more engaging, more relevant and more memorable.”

Two Domtar managers -- Brian Kozlowski, senior manager, Sustainability Performance Optimization, and Daniel Persica, sustainability communications manager – will join 3BL Media’s chief marketing officer, Dave Armon, for a discussion around the pulp and paper company’s process for producing dynamic content that generated interest among employees, customers, shareholders and other important audiences across the world.

“In 2011, fewer than 20 percent of S&P 500 companies produced sustainability reports. That total jumped to 89 percent last year,” said Armon, citing Governance & Accountability Institute research. “Interest in sustainability is only going to grow, so communications professionals owe it to themselves to learn from experts the best practices for making this content easy to consume and share.”
