State Farm celebrates the choice of carpooling for 1/3 of its employees.

“Carpooling is certainly a commuting choice that benefits the environment and also enhances the work life balance of our employees who can save money and reduce personal stress by sharing the drive into work.” John Bordignon, media relations spokesperson for State Farm.

In keeping with its commitment to environmental issues, this business who has been serving Canadians since 1938 as the fourth largest auto insurance provider and seventh largest property and casualty insurer in Canada, is committed to helping keep our planet clean. Employees can register on the company’s newly created in-house “Smart Commute” website to search for available carpool matches from across the company.

Smart Commute has declared State Farm as having the highest percentage of employees that carpool, from across Smart Commute’s 200+ member businesses in the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area. At its Canadian head office in Aurora, Ontario, nearly one-third of State Farm employees carpool to work.
