State Department to Discuss Transforming the Trade at the Global Conflict Minerals Symposium

Brad Brooks-Rubin, Special Advisor for Conflict Diamonds and Conflict Minerals in the Bureau of Energy, Economic, and Business Affairs at the U.S. Department of State plans to dicuss how issuers can minimize their risk, exposure and ensure the stability of their supply chain through a transformation of the Conflict Minerals trade.  The Global Conflict Minerals Symposium, presented by the Conflict Minerals Consortium coincides with the 1-year anniversary of the Dodd-Frank Section 1502 Conflict Minerals Final Rule.  

The invitation-only Symposium will provide senior corporate and compliance executives, regulatory officials from across the globe, leading academia and NGO officers with a forum to share their practical experience, insights, and vision for achieving conflict free sourcing practices globally with the implementation of effective regulations.
