Shire and SeriousFun: Our First Year Together

 In 2016, Shire announced its partnership with SeriousFun Children’s Network, a global community of 30 camps and programs around the world that provide transformative camp experiences to children living with serious illnesses and their families – totally free of charge. Shire’s $3 million commitment, $1 million annually, will enable nearly 1,000 children to attend these life-changing camps.  In 2016, our first year of partnership, Shire’s support allowed 304 campers, many of whom had rare diseases, to attend camp for free and Shire employees dedicated over 5,000 hours of volunteering with SeriousFun.
