SCS Certifies Manuelita, First Producer of Biodiesel Palm in Latin America to ISCC

Manuelita achieved International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC), which validates their commitment to environmentally and socially responsible production of biofuels, as well as the supply of sustainable raw materials free from deforestation. SCS Global Services confirmed from its assessment in November 2017 that Manuelita demonstrated compliance with the ISCC requirements. With this sustainability certification, Manuelita can now enter the European biodiesel market, while at the same time protecting worker rights and forests, ensuring communities are safeguarded, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions during their operations.
