Republic Services and Martinez, CA Present the 2016 Eco Awards

To encourage businesses to use sustainable business practices, Republic Services along with the City of Martinez, CA presented their 2016 Eco Awards to top achievers. The winner include local business: Loaves and Fishes, Barrelista Coffee House, and John Swett Elementary.

All of the winners recorded having more recycling collected than trash on a weekly basis, embraced Republic’s suggested food waste program, and followed the Reduce-Reuse-Recycle principals. The “green team” of students who help to spread the word about recycle at their schools were excited to get to shake the mayor’s hand at the awards presentation.
