Consistent with the GRI G3.1 guidelines and GRI-checked to application level B, the report provides a comprehensive and transparent account of the company’s performance against its economic, environmental and social sustainability targets.

In their latest report, Pacific Hydro demonstrates significant progress in key areas such as environmental stewardship, sustainability within the supply chain, employee training and development, health and safety, anti-corruption and community development.

Other key highlights from the report include:

  • 1.7 million megawatts of clean renewable energy produced

  • 1.3 million tonnes of CO2 emissions abated

  • 24 per cent increase in installed generation capacity

  • 10 per cent reduction in Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate

  • $920,000 spent on employee training and development

  • $450,000 spent through Community Investment programs

  • Launch of the Pacific Hydro Community Charter

  • Becoming signatories to the United Nations Global Compact
