(3BL Media) August 1, 2012 - The Co-operative Group, widely considered a pioneer and global leader in sustainability reporting, has launched its latest ‘warts and all’ Sustainability Report at www.co-operative.co.uk/sustainabilityreport.

The Report covers The Co-operative’s 2011 performance against its Ethical Plan  - setting out clearly where it has or indeed hasn’t achieved its targets and, crucially, providing over 40 performance benchmarks allowing for direct comparison with its sector peers.

The Report is consistent with the latest GRI G3.1 guidelines, and is GRI checked to the highest application level of A+.

Independent assurance is undertaken by Two Tomorrows, using AA1000AS, with the previous two Reports both earning a CRRA Award for ‘Credibility through Assurance’.

An independent introduction to this Report, in the form of a new VideoReportAlert, can be viewed here.
