NEW YORK, April 30, 2014 /3BL Media/ Erika Diamond of Recyclebank®, the company that inspires and rewards smarter, everyday choices for a more sustainable future, will discuss the importance of recycling education at the Waste Expo 14 conference. The session, “Educating Customers to Improve Recycling,” brings Diamond together with William Flower, president, Green Stream Recycling to raise awareness on the need for accessible recycling information within communities. They will also provide best practices for engaging residents to think twice before they send something to the landfill.

Waste Expo connects and educates the waste and recycling industry, bringing together key leaders from both public and private sectors. With education continuing to be a key barrier in raising recycling rates, this panel will highlight strategies and techniques that are working in communities across the U.S. and the world. Diamond will specifically share Recyclebank’s experience as a company working with more than 300 communities across the U.S. to help solve the recycling problem through education. She’ll dissect methods that have proven successful in changing consumer behavior, resulting in both recycling and waste diversion rate increases.
