PepsiCo’s Approach to Agriculture Highlighted in New Biodiversity Report

The Aldersgate Group, an alliance of leaders from business, politics and society that drives action for a sustainable economy, has published a new report, calling for greater business and Government action on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.

In the report, which was released on the 28th November, the UK-based group highlights PepsiCo's Global Sustainable Agriculture Policy (GSAP) as one of a number of initiatives that rely on dependable ecosystems to minimise the impact of the business on the environment. PepsiCo's GSAP is grounded on principles that encourage growers to operate in ways that protect farmers land and communities. Objectives within the policy include implementing methods to preserve and improve soil fertility and nutrients, minimize soil loss through erosion and avoid soil damage due to disease and contamination.    To obtain a copy of the report, please email Nish Ratanji.   To read this article on the PepsiCo website, please click here.     About PepsiCo
