The 3 Keynote Voices at Living Future unConference 2017

The theme for next year's Living Future unConference (LF17) is 'Genius & Courage' and will incorporate out-of-the-ordinary learning and networking formats over the course of 3 days.

ILFI is honored to host three exemplary leaders as keynote speakers for LF17 who symbolize Genius & Courage. Van Jones, Naomi Klein and Kirsti Luke lead without fear, while tenaciously sharing the knowledge they've attained with their communities, and the rest of the world. Take a look below for a glimpse of each of their achievements, and join us at #LF17 to hear more. Early bird rates end December 5th.

Van Jones

The 2016 Presidential election brought Van Jones further into the limelight. His past and current endeavours have made listening and watching him as a political correspondent on CNN valuable. Van Jones is a civil rights leader, former Obama White House advisor, and the Founder and President of Dream Corps -- an incubator, platform and home for world-changing initiatives that empower the most vulnerable in our society. He has also written two New York Times bestsellers: The Green Collar Economy, the definitive book on green jobs, and Rebuild the Dream, a roadmap for progressives.

Naomi Klein

A hero to many, the award-winning journalist, syndicated columnist and author of international bestsellers Naomi Klein, brought us the can't-look-away This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs the Climate (2014) and This Changes Everything, the documentary inspired by the book. Naomi is a member of the board of directors for 350.org, a global grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis and a Puffin Foundation Writing Fellow at The Nation Institute. Naomi's strong voice and advocacy was one of the forces behind Canada's Leap Manifesto, a blueprint for a rapid and justice-based transition off fossil fuels.
