The American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (AmCham) is the leading international business association in Singapore, with over 5,000 members representing more than 750 member companies. The award recognizes organizations who demonstrate an excellent understanding of corporate citizenship relevance, by linking business operations and society in a way that will help create long-term economic and social value.

With a vision to lead the world in essentials for a better life, we invest our efforts not just through products, but through social programs across APAC. Committed to bringing this vision to life, several programs have been implemented, including: Look After Your Forests in partnership with WWF Singapore to educate consumers on haze-free brands, Toilets Change Lives for providing sanitation in India, Touch of White Angels for improved healthcare in China, Love your Forests in partnership with WWF Australia to protect endangered forests, and Keep Korea Green that has planted over 50 million trees.

“We are honored to be recognized by AmCham as a company that sets the standard for corporate citizenship, through our best practices in connecting sustainability with strong community engagement,” says Rodney Olsen, CFO, K-C APAC. “Our vision of “Leading the World in Essentials for a Better Life” continues to guide us in our social and environmental programs.”

The AmCham CARES award honored 30 companies across multiple business sectors and industries, for their programs related to socially responsible business practices and community engagement. The programs were assessed on four factors—communications, measurement, strategy and sustainability.
