(3BL Media) Chicago, IL - June 26, 2012 - Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) today announced that the firm’s IntelliCommandSM integrated facilities management platform has been recognized for smart building innovation with the Realcomm Digie award in the category of Best Use of Automation in Facilities Management. The Digie Awards were presented in Las Vegas during the June 2012 Realcomm IBCon, a conference that brings together the intelligent buildings industry.

The award honors the inherent innovation in Jones Lang LaSalle's new IntelliCommandSM integrated facilities management solution, including the platform’s ability to analyze building information on a real-time basis to inform energy use and other operational decisions from remote monitoring command centers. The firm was also designated a finalist for the related commercial facilities category.

Launched in fall 2011, IntelliCommandSM is the commercial real estate industry’s first integrated building management solution to combine cloud-based, smart-building technology with a world-class team of engineering and operations professionals to enable 24/7, real-time remote monitoring and control of facilities and portfolios worldwide. In addition to providing unprecedented efficiency, monitoring-based commissioning and other advantages, IntelliCommandSM has been proven to reduce a portfolio’s energy costs by 18 percent with the first seven months of deployment.

“We are honored that IntelliCommandSM has been recognized as one of the first solutions to fully leverage the power of innovative technological breakthroughs to support facility operations,” said Chris Browne, International Director of Integrated Facilities Management at Jones Lang LaSalle. “The commercial real estate industry is beginning to recognize that cloud computing and smart-building technology can enable the goals of corporate occupiers in the areas of sustainability, efficiency and workplace productivity.”

The IntelliCommandSM portfolio management system leverages leading-edge technology from Pacific Controls to enable 24/7 real-time monitoring and control to deliver seamless solutions for worldwide portfolios from a central location. The IntelliCommandSM continuous commissioning feature monitors performance of building systems and equipment, from HVAC to air compressors, to ensure that all systems operate at peak efficiency individually and in combination with one another, fully leveraging the integration of information from all inputs.

IntelliCommandSM is powered by Pacific Controls, the leading provider of ICT-enabled managed services and converged engineering solutions for buildings and infrastructure projects globally.

When IntelliCommandSM detects an anomaly that cannot be automatically adjusted, it alerts on-site engineers or deploys resources to address specific problems, and also often diagnoses the problem to make resolution by facility managers easier and faster.
