WASHINGTON, D.C., November 3, 2016 /3BL Media/ – Learn new ways to address real world problems through employee engagement at the 2016 Engagement Institute Summit panel discussion titled, An Organizational Approach to Engaging Employees For Good. The panel, moderated by Amanda MacArthur, Chief Programs Officer, PYXERA Global, will explore approaches to strengthen a company’s role in creating shared value through innovative programs like global pro bono.

“These companies have redefined ‘learning by doing’,” says Ms. MacArthur. “They implement leadership development practices through proven methodologies to accelerate development and optimize application to their ‘day jobs’ and future roles.”

The panel will include:

  • John DiMarco, Program Manager, Corporate Service Corps, IBM
  • John Kolmer, Global Manager, Leadership Development, The Dow Chemical Company
  • Kelley Schmidt, Senior Principal IT Project Manager, Medtronic

The panel will share how leading companies are capitalizing on existing—yet untapped—resources to build the capability of their employees and leaders at all levels. The results show attrition decreases as engagement increases, new mindsets are formed, and the business model adapts to global and local challenges.

The 2016 Engagement Summit, present by the Conference Board will take place in Detroit, Michigan November 3-5. The work of The Engagement Institute™ strives to lead the business community in achieving, measuring, and recognizing the business impact of employee engagement. At this conference, participants will learn how they can take a creative approach to employee engagement at their own companies in order to attract and retain  the best leaders.
