July 28, 2015 /3BL Media/ - In this information-saturated world, it’s difficult to keep on top of important issues, even the ones we care about deeply. Increasingly, organizations are turning to the infographic to capture—and hold—our attention. This Digital Age medium—which in some cases can be called an art form—capitalizes on our visual natures, using compelling images to convey factual information. Whether ironic ordisturbing, soberingor inspiring, a well-crafted infographic can cut straight to the heart of a complex issue.

For their July issueGreen Builder® magazine has compiled some infographics that highlight important environmental and social issues, illuminating trends and illustrating possible futures.

Infographics include

  • Leading Solar Markets in the U.S. - Created by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), ranks the Top 10 Solar States based on solar capacity installed in 2014. An additional infographic, available on the SEIA website, shows detailed information for each of the Top 10.
  • The True Costs of Asthma - The asthma epidemic is reaching all-time highs, and so are the costs of this chronic disease. The American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) created this infographic to illustrate how uncontrolled asthma impacts sufferers in the U.S.
