Impact Story: Career Day at Cisco Live United States 2015

In the World of Solutions, students took part in a scavenger hunt. They explored hundreds of vendor booths, including our Corporate Social Responsibility booth, where they learned how we are enabling global problem solvers to speed the pace of social change.

As the final keynote presenter, Discovery Channel’s Mike Rowe explained to the students and thousands of attendees that networking jobs will be critical as the world becomes more connected.

…many students got their first taste of the Maker Movement, which inspires people to create, innovate, and imagine with technology.

With a simple piece of paper, conductive tape, and an LED light, the students created personalized greeting cards.

While more than 25,000 people attended Cisco Live US 2015 in San Diego, California, 300 students participated in one of the week’s most exciting and engaging events – Career Day. There, they learned what skills they’ll need to succeed in the digital economy through hands-on activities and conversations with industry professionals.
