Hallmark Publishes First Social Responsibility Report

KANSAS CITY, Mo., August 4, 2017 /3BL Media/ -- Hallmark has released its inaugural Social Responsibility Report which features initiatives in 2016 from operations in Kansas City and around world provide a more complete story about the global company’s diverse portfolio of businesses including Hallmark GreetingsHallmark Retail, Hallmark Home & Gifts, Crown Media Family NetworksCrayola and Crown Center.

“This report marks the first time Hallmark has published a consolidated story of our work in community involvement, environmental stewardship, and diversity and inclusion,” explained Don Hall, CEO. “While some may call it being ‘responsible,’ we view them as business imperatives.”

In its 2016 Social Responsibility Report, the company features operating business stories and an overview of its presence around the world; profiles of diverse leaders from Crown Media, Hallmark Greetings, Crayola and Halls Kansas City offer insights into their leadership styles and business; and testimonials from representatives of organizations and communities the company serves offer additional outside perspectives.

In addition, results are provided highlighting Hallmark’s 2016 community involvement, sustainability, and diversity and inclusion progress including:

  • Providing $32.1 million in cash and product donations to nonprofits
  • Diverting 35.7 million pounds of waste from landfills
  • Receiving 12 awards for our work in Diversity & Inclusions, including being named “Best Places to Work” by the Human    Rights Campaign for the second straight year
