San Diego, Calif., London, UK, February 28, 2014 /3BL Media/ – Paul Gibbon, the former Head of Business Development for Schneider Electric’s European Sustainability Group, is the newest addition to Measurabl, a Southern California-based software startup for sustainability reporting. Paul will act as a Director of Business Development for Measurabl’s European operations.

Prior to his leadership role at the $30 billion French energy and sustainability behemoth, Paul was Group Director of Sustainability at BRE and a founding member of the International Sustainability Alliance (ISA), a joint venture with Accenture to produce European and worldwide key performance indicators for the real estate industry.

“When I saw what Measurabl had accomplished in the U.S., both technologically and in terms of client adoption, I was extremely impressed and knew it would receive great interest in Europe where sustainability reporting challenges are even more acute than the U.S.,” Gibbon explains. “I repeatedly heard my clients complain reporting was too complicated and expensive, and that they needed a lightweight, easy-to-use tool as opposed to expensive EH&S systems that takes months of customization and training. I believe Measurabl has answered this need.”

Measurabl’s cloud-based software uses automatic data import technology and a guided, step-by-step process to help organizations complete sustainability reports, manage their supply chain, and benchmark to improve performance. The company’s mission is to make sustainability reporting something any organization can do regardless of size, resources or expertise.

“Bringing Paul on board was a matter of keeping up with clients who wanted support for their European operations,” says Matt Ellis, Measurabl’s Founder and CEO. “Since Measurabl’s technology is instant, on-demand and cloud-based, it’s possible for us to cross the Atlantic quickly.”

The company will enter the European market the same way it did the U.S. – by conducting pilots with leading companies who will enjoy preferred access to Measurabl’s software in exchange for helping build the best possible solution.

Measurabl supports reporting to the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) and has three additional reporting standards currently in pilot status with global companies. GRESB is the world’s leading sustainability reporting standard for commercial real estate owners, asset managers and developers.
