GRI's vision is to create a future where sustainability is integral to every organization's decision making process.

Inclusiveness and multi-stakeholder representation are foundational features of our organization, fundamental to forming a global perspective and advance our mission to empower decision makers to take action.

This is thoroughly reflected in our governance structure: we have opened our search for global representation and a broad range of perspectives to enable us to carry out our mission and warmly encourage you to review the opportunities to getting involved and/or spread the word as widely as possible.

By joining our Stakeholder Council or Independent Appointments Committee, you’ll have a solid platform in which to share your expertise and play a direct role in shaping the future of sustainability reporting. Please click on the links below for full details on the Open call for nominations for the following governance bodies:

The Stakeholder Council (SC) is the formal stakeholder policy forum within the GRI governance structure, and advises the Board on strategic issues. The SC's key governance functions include appointing Board members and making recommendations on future policy, business planning and activity. GRI is inviting nominations for membership on the SC to fill 9 vacancies for full terms commencing 1 January 2018 and ending on 31 December 2020.

The Independent Appointments Committee (IAC) is responsible for the appointments of the Standards-related governance bodies – the Global Sustainability Standards Board and the GRI Due Process Oversight Committee. Members of the IAC are senior individuals of integrity and high reputation, who commit themselves to a three-year term.
