On Thursday, November 7, Discovery Communications will hold its fourth annual Discovery Impact: Creating Change, a skills-based pro bono initiative. Creating Change forges a commitment to the community by donating Discovery's most valuable resources, its talented employees, during a 12-hour creative marathon. Last year, over 150 employees completed more than 25 projects in areas such as marketing, communications, creative design services, social media and video production. In addition, running concurrently to the marathon Discovery will host a conference for nonprofit representatives where Discovery business leaders will present tools, tips and tricks to help the organizations better navigate their competitive landscape. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to find out more information about Creating Change and can apply here. Applications will be accepted through October 3, 2013.

Creating Change is one of several Discovery Impact hallmark initiatives, including an annual day of global employee volunteerism, Discover Your Impact Day, and a comprehensive disaster relief program. Discovery Impact leverages the power of Discovery's brands, businesses, and employees to give back and make a direct impact in our communities.
