Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Recognizes Arrow Electronics for Environmental Achievements

Centennial, Colo, October 11, 2016/3BL Media/ - The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment this week named Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW) a “Gold Leader” in its Environmental Leadership Program. The global technology company was recognized, along with 169 other Colorado-based companies and organizations, for environmental achievements that help keep Colorado a desirable place to live and work.

The annual awards recognize Colorado organizations with gold, silver and bronze designations for voluntarily going beyond compliance with state and federal regulations and for their commitment to continual environmental improvements.

This is Arrow’s second consecutive year being named a “Gold Leader” in the program. Over the past year alone, Arrow has reduced its North American energy usage by almost 5 million kWh, kept an estimated 50,000 tons of e-waste out of global landfills and piloted innovative smart building projects aimed at collecting real-time energy-usage data and other business intelligence to drive efficiencies.
