(3BL Media) August 23, 2012 - Climate Counts has partnered with ViewBug to announce a summer photo contest related to extreme weather.  "Our purpose as an organization is to elighten consumers as to which companies are putting their best foot forward on climate change," said Climate Counts Director Mike Bellamente, "In order for us to be successful, we still need to convince nearly half the population in the U.S. that climate change is the result of human behavior. Our goal with this contest is to bring visual awareness to some of the odd weather occurring around the country."

To showcase 2012 as a year of record-breaking heat and drought, all are invited to submit their best photo of the most intense weather event caught on camera. Be it hurricanes, dust storms, droughts, lightning, wildfires, rainbows, sunsets, or floods... all submissions are welcome.

John Kosmopolous, a consultant, educator, published photographer and freelance writer from Toronto, will judge the contest. His philosophy of photography can be summed up in two words: "eclectic aesthetic”.
