The Road to Zero-Carbon Transportation

In 2016, the transportation sector became the largest contributor to carbon emissions in the U.S., outpacing the energy sector for the first time since 1979. As all forms of transportation grow, driven by many factors including the rise of e-commerce and direct-to-consumer businesses, the climate impacts of this sector are likely to continue to climb—if we don’t intervene first. Fortunately, an increasing number of companies are beginning to take the initiative to address the carbon impacts of their transportation in order to meet their broader sustainability goals.
