GM Helps Accelerate Resident-Led Community Transformation Plan
General Motors, The Skillman Foundation and the Cody Rouge Community Action Alliance are collaborating to revitalize and strengthen the Cody Rouge community in Detroit. The groups will amplify collective strengths and capital – both human and financial – to achieve measureable positive change in the neighborhood, which recently announced a strategic, resident-led transformation plan.

2,500 GM Employees Volunteer in Detroit’s Cody Rouge Community
It’ll be all hands (and arms and legs) on deck when 2,500 General Motors employees return to Detroit’s Cody Rouge community to volunteer the week of Aug. 15. Employees will donate their time and talent to board up vacant homes, clean empty lots, spruce up streets and tackle other neighborhood and school improvements.
