FCA Foundation Receives the SAE Foundation’s Eighth Annual Gordon Millar Award
The FCA Foundation, the charitable arm of North American automaker FCA US LLC, was recognized with the eighth annual SAE Foundation Gordon Millar Award at the SAE Foundation Annual Celebration in Detroit on May 24, 2018. The FCA Foundation provides philanthropic support to SAE’s A World In Motion (AWIM) STEM education program, which gives students from kindergarten through eighth grade the opportunity to develop critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills.

One of the most effective ways to inspire girls to pursue a STEM education and careers is to introduce them to professionals in the field. A partnership between North American automaker FCA US and the Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation (MCWT) is making sure that young women ‘GET-IT’, which stands for Girls Exploring Together Information Technology.

FCA Foundation Announces $500,000 Grant in Support of United Way for Southeastern Michigan’s Innovative Solutions to Ending Childhood Hunger
The FCA Foundation, the charitable arm of North American automaker FCA US LLC, today announced a $500,000 grant to United Way for Southeastern Michigan. The grant will help United Way implement two primary strategies to ensure that more children have access to and participate in child nutrition programs throughout the school year and during the summer.

The FCA Foundation, the charitable arm of North American automaker FCA US LLC, today awarded $250,000 to The Mission Continues and $50,000 to Forgotten Harvest. The grants will support community impact and workplace development initiatives for veterans who are adjusting to life at home.

FCA Foundation Supports Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s ‘Heroes Night’ Concerts for U.S. Armed Forces Veterans and Their Families
The FCA Foundation, the charitable arm of FCA US LLC, today announced $180,000 in support for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for the 2017-2018 concert season. The funding will support a number of DSO initiatives for veterans in southeast Michigan, including underwriting special $10 tickets for veterans to attend “Heroes Night” concerts performed in Orchestra Hall.

Third Annual FCA US ‘Big Bike and Book Giveaway Day’ Rolls Out New Bikes to 150 Detroit Students
Students chosen to receive a new bicycle, helmet and books were selected by Communities In Schools of Metropolitan Detroit, which provides education and community resources to help students successfully learn, stay in school and continue the path to graduation. FCA US provided the bikes, helmets, books and 50 employees through its Motor Citizens volunteer program. Detroit Eastside Community Collaborative, which has helped establish miles of new bike lanes throughout the city, provided safety instruction to the new riders.
