Arrow Electronics’ Employees Volunteer with Denver-area Nonprofit Farm
Members of Arrow Electronics’ “Young Professionals” group recently volunteered with The GrowHaus, a Denver-area nonprofit indoor farm, community marketplace and educational center. The 25 Arrow volunteers helped to pack food bags that would be donated to local families in need, and they also washed, chopped and boxed pallets of lettuce, mushrooms, seasonal produce and eggs for distribution to local markets and stores.

Arrow Electronics recently donated 50 refurbished tablet computers to the children of the Tuleeni Orphanage in Tanzania, Africa. The tablet donation is an extension of the global technology company’s ongoing support of the remote orphanage.

A full-sized bobsled with blinking LED lights. A 10-foot blue dragon. Skyscrapers, bulldozers, even a version of Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” painting – all made from scrap materials by schoolchildren in Arrow Electronics communities as part of a global STEM education event called the Cardboard Engineering Challenge.

Arrow Electronics and the nonprofit Cherry Creek Arts Festival won a gold award for “Best Individual Sponsorship” from the International Festivals and Events Association. The award was presented at the association’s annual conference in Tucson, Arizona on September 28.

Arrow Electronics Employees Adopt Orphanage in Rural Africa
In the fall of 2015, global technology company Arrow Electronics helped launch the first “DigiTruck” in Africa. The self-sustainable mobile computer lab brought technology and internet access to children living largely off the grid in the Tuleeni Orphans Home, located on the remote slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
