CONTENT: Press Release

Hello, I’m Gretchen Siegchrist, and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Tuesday, April 6th:

Celebrity mom Jennifer Hudson is the latest public figure to join 7-Eleven’s “Coffee Cup with a Cause” initiative. Hudson has created a cup called “Light of Peace” for the program. Proceeds from sales of Hudson’s coffee cup will benefit her designated charity, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago. Throughout 2010, 7-Eleven is introducing limited-edition coffee cups designed by entertainment and sports celebrities to be sold in the chain’s stores. Proceeds from sales will benefit the featured celebrity’s charity of choice.

LBG Canada’s 2010 Annual Benchmarking Meeting opens tomorrow in Calgary, Alberta. LBG Canada’s benchmarking program delivers insights into community investment management and performance trends, making it possible to measure the  creation of value in the community. Its results inform investment and employee giving and volunteering strategies, and are increasingly seen as vital data for Canadian companies investing in community initiatives.
