Max India Foundation has won the Golden Peacock Award for Corporate Social Responsibility for 2010 in the Global Awards category. Max India Foundation executes the CSR initiatives of the Max India Group entities, including partnerships with NGOs for work in the areas of immunization, blood donations, surgeries for the underprivileged, and support for disaster relief victims. The Golden Peacock Awards encourage competition in corporate governance, and were presented at the 6th Global Conference on Social Responsibility, held in New Delhi.
The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning has joined ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability USA as its newest regional affiliate. ICLEI USA will provide the Agency with tools from software to policy templates to help local governments in northeastern Illinois improve their sustainability performance. Other regional partners, including the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, will work with ICLEI USA to support the Regional Affiliate Program’s sustainability planning in the seven-county Chicago region.
