Working with the American Dietetic Association Foundation and the President’s Council on Physical Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition, General Mills is supporting the Champions for Healthy Kids initiative with 50 grants of $10,000 each to nonprofits, schools, and community groups. The initiative, now in its ninth year, has awarded more than $20 million through its annual grant program.
The Guardian has earned praise for its sustainability website “Living Our Values” from Two Tomorrows, the British newspaper’s social auditing firm. The in-depth review noted the site’s transparency, level of interactivity, and what it called a “frenzy” of interesting information. Especially noted was the site’s encouragement of stakeholder dialogue and inclusion through surveys, chat forums, beat-blogging, employee master classes, and soliciting of content.
