Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) is proud to receive, for the 7th consecutive year, a perfect score of 100 percent on the Corporate Equality Index (CEI). Administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation—America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality—the CEI is a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT equality in the workplace. Booz Allen was one of only 392 US businesses to earn top marks this year—out of the 1,024 businesses rated in the 2016 CEI report.

“Booz Allen is proud of our long-standing 100 percent rating on the Corporate Equality Index, but we won’t rest on our laurels. There is always more to do to ensure that we attract the best talent. We are proud to offer LGBT professionals careers in which their diverse skills, experiences, and viewpoints are celebrated and contribute to solving our clients’ most pressing problems. We will strive to continue our leadership in this area.” - Horacio Rozanski, President and CEO, Booz Allen Hamilton.

The report evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. Three new criteria added to the CEI for 2016—around corporate giving policies, and the requirements that businesses’ inclusive, non-discrimination policies extend beyond the US to their global operations, and to contractors and vendors—made achieving a perfect score even more difficult. Booz Allen’s 100 percent ranking and designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality is a result of meeting or surpassing all of the CEI’s criteria. And it’s a reflection of the firm’s deep commitment to ensuring that its policies and benefits continue to reflect the needs of its diverse culture.
