CAMPAIGN: Making a World of Difference

Most people focus on Spring Cleaning so it’s my hope that you missed a few items in the back of your closet. At Mary Kay, we’re gearing up for Suits for Shelters! Now in its seventh year, this program has provided more than 14,000 articles of clothing to women’s organizations to help survivors of abuse secure long-term employment.

Mary Kay Inc. and The Mary Kay Foundation℠ team up each year for the annual professional clothing drive. Mary Kay collects professional clothing items from our sales force as well as the Dallas community to help women in need feel more confident as they look for jobs and prepare to live a life free from abuse. We’ll collect thousands of articles of clothing through August 1 and donate them to local women’s shelters and groups that help survivors of domestic violence.

A new outfit can bring so much confidence and it’s our hope, that the suit or dress you have in the back of your closet can represent a new beginning for a woman who needs it. Bring your donations to the Tootsies boutique in Dallas to participate in the program.

If you don’t live in Dallas or aren’t a member of the Mary Kay sales force, you can still participate. Climb into your closet, find a few items that you aren’t using anymore and drive them over to your local women’s shelter.

Take a look at some of the great pictures from last night’s fashion show and launch party.
