As summer draws to an end it can be a challenge to get kids excited to head back to school. Boeing’s 100 Days of Learning content is the perfect way to get kids ready to jump back into the classroom. With hands-on activities that will get kids thinking creatively while building rocket ships and airplane wings from everyday household materials, preparing to strap on a backpack and hit the books has never been more thrilling.

100 Days of Learning is part of Boeing’s ongoing centennial education initiatives, and is comprised of free educational materials co-created by Boeing engineers and Boeing’s education partners. The partners—Iridescent’s Curiosity Machine, Teaching Channel, Above and Beyond and PBS LearningMedia—worked with Boeing to compile educational materials centered around aerospace. Many of the materials, such as the design challenges and lesson plans, echo real-life tasks performed daily by Boeing’s engineers, aligning with parent and teacher desires to arm students with real-world knowledge and skills. In addition to hands-on activities, students will also have access to educational videos, including engineer profiles and historical mini-documentaries to help ground kids in the history of aerospace and the career trajectory of a Boeing engineer.
