Q: Describe a hurdle that had to be overcome in the partnership. How was that achieved?

A: Hilton Worldwide is a large, complex organization with more than 3,900 properties in more than 90 countries, and it can be a challenge to activate global partnerships at the local level. As we strive for 100% hotel participation, we are partnering with different stakeholders across our company to educate and activate our soap donation program around the world. By creating internal program advocates at all levels – from housekeeping staff to General Managers to global brand heads – we are able to scale and optimize our partnership, and are pleased to report that, as of mid-October, more than 1,000 hotels are contributing to the Global Soap Project and over one third are Hilton Worldwide properties.
