Booz Allen’s Kristina Barbee: A Leader in PNT and the Huntsville Community
Positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) data power everything from the smart phone in your pocket to fields as diverse as the military, transportation, communications, and the energy sector. Booz Allen honors its experts and engineers that put the firm at the forefront of building PNT solutions and developing the architectures that make PNT systems capable, resilient, and effective when it counts most.
Senior Associate Kristina Barbee leads PNT initiatives in Booz Allen’s Huntsville, Alabama, office. Her goal: Ensure that lifesaving solutions are developed, tested, and fielded as efficiently as possible.
Strengthening mission-critical solutions
Barbee uses her experience in technical research and strategic thinking to lead the delivery of PNT and resilient platforms assessments and solutions. “The greatest reward for us is the knowledge that our solutions are having an immediate impact on the warfighter and fight—protecting our most valuable assets, our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines,” she said.
Serving the military and Huntsville communities
Booz Allen’s Huntsville, Alabama, office has supported the Army for more than 65 years. Here, Barbee leads several efforts across the Missile Defense Agency, Joint Program Executive Office for Armaments and Ammunition, and the United States Army Futures Command.
She supplements these PNT initiatives with active support of Huntsville community organizations: Kids to Love, Habitat for Humanity, Women in Defense, Leadership Huntsville, and HEALS, Inc., where she’s a board member.
“We’re a community of rocket scientists, passionate community leaders, engineers, and students that bring the best to bear on our collective challenges,” she said.
